I'm kinda disappointed with all these new smart devices popping up everywhere

I mean, don't get me wrong, they're cool and all, but have we really thought this through? Like, what's the point of a smart thermostat that can learn your schedule if it just gonna turn itself off mid-night 'cause it thinks you're asleep?

And don't even get me started on those facial recognition security cameras... how much data are they collecting on us anyway?

I'm not saying we should go back to analog life or anything, but can't we have a balance between tech and practicality?
And what's with all the 'influencer' gadgets that just cost an arm and a leg

? Like, who really needs a smartwatch that can track your every move 24/7? And those virtual assistants... they're great and all, but sometimes I feel like they're more annoying than helpful

. Can't we just stick with our trusty old phones and laptops for now?
I know some people would say, 'but it's progress!' And yeah, I get that... but can't we take a step back and think about what's really important? Like, how much tech do we need in our daily lives?
