Holiday performances fill Stockton’s December schedule

Stockton University's Performing Arts Center is gearing up for a festive December with an array of performances that cater to diverse tastes and interests. The month kicks off on December 7th, with two events marking the start of the holiday season.

On one hand, local band The LeeVees will take the main stage at 2 pm, bringing their unique blend of humor and high-energy songs from their album 'Chanukah Rocks' to entertain fans of all ages. Later that evening, Stockton University's annual Holiday Choral Concert will bring together talented singers from various groups, including the university's chorale, chorus, and oratorio society.

The following weekend, the stage will be set for a magical performance of "The Nutcracker" by the Atlantic City Ballet, which will feature three shows on December 12th and 13th. The events promise to delight audiences with classic ballets that evoke enchantment and wonder during the holiday season.

For those who love classical music, Bay Atlantic Symphony is set to perform 'Sing in the Holidays' on December 14th. This special concert features beautiful arrangements of carols performed by soprano Natalie Conte, accompanied by a lively orchestra. The event promises to be an uplifting way to celebrate the holidays with friends and family.

The month of December draws to a close with Ed Vezinho & the Jim Ward Big Band taking to the stage on December 15th for their annual tribute to the iconic music from 'A Charlie Brown Christmas.' This festive show will bring back memories of classic animated specials while entertaining audiences with nostalgic tunes.

Throughout the performances, ticket prices vary. For more information and to purchase tickets, it's best to visit stockton.edu/pac or contact the box office at 609-652-9000.

As a parent, I know how hard it can be to find activities that everyone in the family will enjoy, especially during the holiday season. It's awesome that they're offering something for everyone - from classic ballets like "The Nutcracker" to fun performances by local bands like The LeeVees 🤪! And who can resist singing along to festive tunes with Natalie Conte and the Bay Atlantic Symphony? I'll be sure to grab my kiddos and we'll head out to one of these shows soon - it's a great way to get us in the holiday spirit!

Dec 1st is around the corner and Stockton University's Performing Arts Center is all set for a holiday party 🎉! I mean who doesn't love a good dose of cheesy jazz music from Ed Vezinho & the Jim Ward Big Band? And can you imagine Natalie Conte's powerful voice belting out Christmas carols with an orchestra behind her? It's like a big ol' present wrapped in sound 🎁. But seriously, it sounds like they've got something for everyone – from The LeeVees' fun tunes to "The Nutcracker" and the Holiday Choral Concert. I'm not exactly sure how my wallet will survive these festive events, but hey, who needs a savings account when you can have holiday cheer? 🤑

I'm so over all these holiday concerts and shows 🙄. Can't they just leave us alone for a month? It feels like every single day is some kind of cheesy celebration. And what's with The LeeVees, a local band I've never heard of playing at the Performing Arts Center? Shouldn't it be some big-name artist instead? And don't even get me started on "A Charlie Brown Christmas" music - it's just so annoyingly nostalgic 🎵. Why can't they just play something new for once?!
