On one hand, it's awesome that private companies like Planetary Resources Corp are investing in space tech and creating jobs . But on the other hand, it does seem a bit unfair that they get to reap all the benefits while taxpayers foot the bill for the government's space program . I mean, don't get me wrong, corporate innovation is key, but shouldn't we be making sure that these companies are contributing to the greater good in some way? Maybe there needs to be more oversight and regulation around this loophole to ensure it doesn't become a free ride for big corporations .
