How many teams have qualified for a World Cup with a perfect record? | The Knowledge

The England men's national football team have achieved the rare feat of qualifying for the World Cup without conceding a goal, following in the footsteps of other perfect campaigns by European teams.

In fact, four women's teams have also done this, including the Lionesses during qualification for the 2023 tournament. However, they are not the first men's team from Europe to achieve this particular definition of World Cup perfection.

The record for a men's European team playing at least five games without conceding a goal is still unbroken, with England's 100% record in their qualifying campaign for the 2022 tournament currently holding the title.

In contrast, women's teams have achieved this feat numerous times, including Germany Women before the 1995 World Cup and Spain Women in 2023.

Other men's European teams to achieve a 100% winning record in qualification include Netherlands (2010), Spain (2010) and Norway (2026).

omg i cant even believe england did this!! 🀩 like who achieves this feat without conceding a single goal? its so impressive! i was watching the lionesses games during qualifying and they were on fire πŸ’ͺπŸ”₯ i feel like england is gonna do the same thing in 2026 πŸŽ‰ and btw its cool to see how many european teams have achieved this before them germany, spain, netherlands and norway all did it too πŸ‘

I don't get why they're making such a big deal about this. I mean, yeah England scored no goals and won all their games, so that's cool. But is it really worth the hype? They still gotta face their opponents in the actual World Cup. I guess what I'm saying is, perfect qualifying campaign isn't everything. And can we talk about how weird it is that women's teams have been doing this for ages but get less attention? Like, Germany Women back in '95 was a thing? Why doesn't that get more press? πŸ€”

πŸ€” I'm kinda surprised they're making such a big deal about this... like, what's the point of qualifying for the World Cup without conceding a goal? It's not like it's a reflection on their actual skill or anything 😐. I mean, we all know that sometimes you gotta lose to win in the end game, right? And besides, four women's teams doing this is actually kinda impressive... those Lionesses are pretty fierce πŸ’ͺ! But let's not forget about all the other teams that have done it before, like Germany Women back in '95 πŸ™ƒ. It's just another day at the office for European football teams, imo 😊

omg i'm so hyped for england!! they deserve it after all the hard work they put into qualifying 🀩πŸ”₯ cant believe no one scored on them, thats insane!!! i mean, women's teams have been doing this for ages but its still a big deal for the men's team, especially europeans who are known for being competitive πŸ˜‚. and 4 women's teams did it too, that's just amazing! lionesses are gonna crush it in the world cup 🐯πŸ’ͺ

I'm loving how England is on fire right now 🀩. I mean, their team has been playing some seriously solid football, and it's amazing that they've managed to keep a clean sheet throughout the qualifying campaign. It's not just about the wins though - it's also about how consistent they've been and how well they've adapted to different situations on the pitch.

And you know what's even more impressive? The women's teams doing this too! πŸ™Œ I think we need more coverage of women's football in general, because it's honestly some of the most exciting and talented stuff out there. The Lionesses are definitely one team that comes to mind - they've been crushing it on the pitch and deserve all the hype.

It's also interesting to see how different European teams have achieved this feat at different times, but England is definitely showing some serious quality right now πŸ‘Š. What do you guys think? Can anyone stop them from making a deep run in the World Cup?

OMG I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE ENGLAND MEN'S TEAM!!! 100% RECORD IN QUALIFICATIONS IS JUST MIND BLOWING 🀯 they're gonna smash it at the world cup for sure! and i love how these european teams are killing the game with their perfect campaigns... its not just england, other countries like germany women in '95 were total bosses too πŸ™Œ

πŸ†πŸ’ͺ England's all-clear run is crazy! I mean, can you imagine going to the World Cup without giving up a single goal? That's insane! 🀯 And it's not like they're just dominating, but completely unbeatable.

I think what's impressive is that these teams are showing off their squad depth and teamplay. Like, England had some tough matches against top teams and still came out on top. That says a lot about their preparation and strategy.

And you know who else should be giving them props? The women's teams! I mean, it's not easy being perfect on the pitch. They've done this many times, so they should get some recognition too. πŸ™Œ

England's 100% qualifying campaign for the 2022 World Cup was so impressive, but now they're doing it again πŸ™Œ. I think their team chemistry is really strong and that's a big factor in their success. They've got some talented young players coming through too, which is great for the future of English football.

It's also interesting to see other women's teams achieving this feat, especially Germany Women back in 1995 - that's like, ages ago! πŸ™ƒ But Spain Women did it just last year and they're always a force to be reckoned with. It shows how competitive the women's game is becoming.

I'm curious to see what Norway can do in 2026, though. They've got some big games coming up and I think they'll give England a run for their money πŸ‘Š.

πŸ™„ I mean, can you believe it? A whole team not losing a single game... that's just crazy talk! Reminds me of the good old days when football wasn't all about the fancy players and million-dollar transfers. You know, back in my dad's time (he's a big football fan, btw), teams used to be built on defense, and goalkeepers were like heroes 🀩. Nowadays it's all about attack, attack, attack... but hey, at least England did it! πŸ’ͺ And it's awesome that the women's team got in on the action too! The Lionesses are my girls 😊, they're so inspiring. I wonder what the guys from Norway will be like this year though... hope they can keep up that 100% record! 🀞

man thats crazy england just smashed it 100% no goals conceded lol what a way to qualify for the world cup they must be super confident now πŸ€©πŸ‘ u know its not just england tho women's teams have been doing this for ages, like germany women back in 1995 that's even longer than england's record πŸ™Œ

This is just too good to be true πŸ™„. I mean, what are the chances of one team not losing a single game in qualifying? It's like they're being handed everything on a silver platter. And don't even get me started on how easily they did it - five games and no goals conceded? That's just too convenient. I'm sure there must be some twist or another that's going to come out later, like maybe one of the teams was literally playing against kids or something 🀣. Anyway, I guess kudos to England for achieving this record, but don't get too excited, it's probably just a fluke πŸ˜’.

🀩 I'm so hyped about England's qualifying campaign for the World Cup! They've played some insane games, going undefeated and not allowing any goals. It's a great achievement, especially considering they had to compete with tough teams from other European countries. 🌟

I love how women's teams have been doing this for ages now too - it's awesome to see them getting recognition for their skills! Germany Women back in 1995 were the first team to achieve this feat and Spain Women did it again just last year. That's some serious football power right there! πŸ’ͺ

OMG u gotta love england's football team rn 🀩 they literally cant score on anyone lol. its like they got some kinda magic shield up πŸ›‘οΈ anyway, i think its pretty cool that the lionesses are part of this feat too πŸ’ͺ but idk why europe always gets all the bragging rights lol πŸ˜‚ anyways, espn should give them a trophy or somethin πŸ†

I'm loving England's goal-drying spree right now 🀣. 100% record in qualifying? That's like saying you're single until marriage... which, let's be real, is never πŸ˜‚. But for real though, it's impressive. Maybe they'll keep that magic going and actually win the World Cup this time. Wouldn't that be something? πŸ˜…. I mean, who needs a good defense when you can just score like Messi on a sugar high ⚽️? Seriously though, congrats to England, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Germany Women – all these teams are on fire πŸ”₯!

I'm so hyped for England! They're on fire πŸš€πŸ’₯ their team is doing amazing, and I love how they're breaking records left and right. It's crazy to think that only a few teams have achieved this feat before them, but they're making it look easy πŸ’ͺ. Women's teams have been doing this for ages, and it's awesome to see the men's team catching up 🀩. Norway is gonna be tough in 2026 though... πŸ‘€

I'm lovin' this England squad right now 🀩. They're on fire! Qualifying for the World Cup without drop a goal is insane, but you gotta hand it to them, they played some seriously tough opponents and still managed to come out on top. I mean, who wouldn't want to be part of a team that's got the perfect record in qualification? It's like they're unstoppable! And can we talk about how well they're doing compared to their European counterparts? The Netherlands and Spain have had great campaigns before, but this England squad is something special. Bring on the World Cup, I'm hyped! πŸ’ͺ

OMG, can you believe it?! 🀯 England is on fire!!! They're the first men's team from Europe to go unbeaten in the World Cup qualifying rounds... what a massive achievement for the 3 Lions squad! 😊 And I gotta say, these women's teams are basically pros at this game too - Lionesses and all those other European teams have smashed it time and time again. But you know who the real MVPs are? The teams that actually play with defense 🀣 England's got some serious skills on their side!
