How NASCAR’s Ryan Blaney And A 2005 Ford GT Can Help Fight Alzheimer’s

Charity Takes Center Stage as NASCAR's Ryan Blaney and a 2005 Ford GT Unite to Fight Alzheimer's.

NASCAR Cup Series Champion Ryan Blaney recently received a special car from an anonymous donor, with the goal of auctioning it off at a Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. The vehicle is a 2005 Ford GT, one of only 776 finished in Mark IV Red for that year.

The owner of this prized car wishes to remain anonymous, but he's eager to contribute to an excellent cause - helping find a cure for Alzheimer's and supporting families affected by the disease. This act comes from the heart and shows a commitment to charity without seeking accolades.

Blaney expressed his gratitude towards the donor stating that they did not have to donate such a valuable car, adding "He was emphatic about not wanting to use his name or even his location where he was from, anything to give it away. That this is just a gift from him in honor of this special person and just wanted to, in his words, 'We just want to see you do good with it.'"

The Ford GT that will be auctioned has only had 4,000 miles on the odometer and was stored in a climate-controlled garage since day one. It's powered by a supercharged V8 engine rated at 550 horsepower and is accompanied by original options such as painted racing stripes and BBS forged wheels.

Barrett-Jackson, an auction house specializing in rare and classic cars and charity car auctions, has partnered with the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation to host this event. The organization, founded in 2018 by NASCAR driver Ryan Blaney and his family, aims to raise brain health awareness and support people dealing with Alzheimer's disease or concussion diagnoses.

The 2005 Ford GT will be part of Barrett-Jackson's charity auction in Scottsdale on January 23, with all proceeds going directly to the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation. According to Aber, Executive Director of the foundation, "100 percent of the block price will come to the foundation, so whatever it goes for is what we're going to get." This event has the potential to make a significant impact in the fight against Alzheimer's.

Blaney is grateful for the opportunity to share his family's story and spread awareness about brain health. The Ryan Blaney Family Foundation was established after Blaney experienced firsthand the challenges of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease. His father had Alzheimer's, and he has seen the impact it can have on families.

The anonymous donor, who wishes to remain unknown, exemplifies the true spirit of charity - an act from the heart without any expectation of recognition.

🚗💖 I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS AUCTION!!! IT'S AMAZING TO SEE A CAR LIKE THAT GO UP FOR SALE WITH THE GOAL OF RAISING MONEY FOR ALZHEIMER'S RESEARCH! RYAN BLANEY IS SUCH A CLASS ACT, HE'S NOT JUST DOING THIS FOR HIMSELF, BUT ALSO BECAUSE HIS FATHER HAD THE DISEASE AND HE WANTS TO HELP OTHERS LIKE THEM. I THINK IT'S SO COOL THAT THE OWNER OF THE CAR IS STAYING ANONYMOUS, THEY JUST WANT TO HELP WITHOUT ANY FANFARE! 🙏

I'm low-key impressed by this anonymous donor 🙏. I mean, someone's gotta give back like that! Giving away a super rare 2005 Ford GT for a good cause is crazy generous. It's not just about the car itself, but what it represents - helping to find a cure for Alzheimer's and supporting families affected by it 💔. Ryan Blaney and his family are doing some great work with their foundation 🙌, but this donation takes it to a whole new level 🚀.

It's also interesting to see how the anonymous donor kept a low profile 🤐. They didn't want any recognition or publicity, which just shows they're really committed to giving back without seeking anything in return 💖. I think we could all learn from their example 🙏.

🚗 This is so cool! The fact that this 2005 Ford GT was donated by someone who could've sold it for a fortune and still choose to give it away for a great cause is just amazing 💖. It's not about Ryan Blaney or even the charity, but about an individual who genuinely wants to make a difference in people's lives ❤️. this is just amazing 🤩 I mean, a 2005 Ford GT going up for auction at Barrett-Jackson to raise money for Alzheimer's research? it's not every day you hear about something like this! Ryan Blaney's story with his dad having Alzheimer's really hits close to home, and it's awesome that he's using his platform to bring attention to the issue. I'm sure his family foundation is doing some great work 💕, and it's amazing to see a stranger just wanting to give back without expecting anything in return 🙏

I'm so stoked to see a top NASCAR driver like Ryan Blaney teaming up with a 2005 Ford GT to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer's 🚗💖. The fact that the owner of this super-rare car is staying anonymous and just wants to contribute to a good cause without seeking any accolades is truly heartwarming ❤️. I mean, it's not like they need all that recognition, right? This charity auction has the potential to make a real impact, and I'm all about supporting organizations like the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation that are working tirelessly to raise brain health awareness and support families affected by Alzheimer's 🤝.

It's amazing how NASCAR drivers can use their platforms to make a difference outside of racing. Ryan Blaney's personal experience with caring for his father with Alzheimer's has clearly given him a unique perspective on the importance of this work, and I'm so grateful that he's sharing it with the world 🙏. The fact that all proceeds from the auction will go directly to the foundation is just perfect – no unnecessary costs or red tape getting in the way of making a real difference 💸.

Anyway, I think this charity auction has the potential to be super successful and make some serious waves in the fight against Alzheimer's 🌊. Fingers crossed that it does, and I'll definitely be keeping an eye on how things unfold 😊.

OMG I'm literally so down for this! 🤩 Like, a 2005 Ford GT is already super rare and now it's gonna be auctioned off for a good cause? That's just amazing. The owner giving away such an iconic car with no strings attached... like, what even is that? 😍 It's not about the car itself, but the fact that someone is using their resources to help people with Alzheimer's. Ryan Blaney is already doing some great work with his foundation and this just shows he's willing to go above and beyond. I'm defo donating to the auction too! 🎉

🤔 I'm not sure about all these charity auctions for diseases like Alzheimer's. It feels kinda too good to be true that someone just gives away a super rare car like that. What's really going on here? Is this person trying to get good publicity or something? 🤑 And how do we know the auction house is actually donating 100% of the money from the sale to the foundation and not keeping some for themselves? I'm all for helping out, but let's make sure we're doing it right. 🙏

this is amazing 🤩, i mean a car that valuable just for charity auction? it's like a dream come true 💎 for alzheimer research and brain health awareness. nascar drivers are not supposed to be associated with luxury cars like this but hey, if ryan blaney can use his platform for good then more power to him 🙌. what i love most about this story is the anonymous donor who just wants to give back without any recognition - that's true selflessness 💖. it's people like them who will make a real difference in our society 🤝

omg I'm so down for this!!! 🤩 The fact that someone is willing to give away a 2005 Ford GT for charity is insane! You can't put a price on kindness and it's amazing that Ryan Blaney is using his platform to bring attention to Alzheimer's research. I've had family members affected by the disease too, so this means the world to me 💔 It's great to see people like the anonymous donor and Ryan Blaney giving back without expecting anything in return 🙏

OMG this is so cool 🤩! I mean seriously Ryan Blaney doing such a generous thing for a great cause like Alzheimer's research 🙌 it's amazing that the anonymous donor gave away such an awesome car to support the foundation 💖 Blaney's dad had it bad with Alzheimer's and now he's helping others who are going through the same thing 💕 this auction is gonna make so much difference in raising awareness and funds for brain health research 🚀 can't wait for January 23st!

I feel bad for this car 🚗😔, a 2005 Ford GT with so much history and potential value just being auctioned off for charity. It's not about the money, it's about making a difference 🌟. I hope Ryan Blaney's foundation makes a significant impact in fighting Alzheimer's 💪.

But what's even more inspiring is the anonymous donor who gave this car without expecting anything in return 🙏. No recognition, no fame, just a selfless act of kindness from someone with a big heart ❤️. That takes a lot of courage and character.
