How repression is born – and how to resist it | Javier Corrales and Daniel Altschuler

You know what's crazy about popcorn? They just started putting all these weird flavors in there 🤔🍿 I mean, have you tried that buffalo ranch flavor? It's like someone poured a whole bottle of hot sauce into the mix 😂. But for real, have you ever noticed how they always put those few kernels at the top of the bag, just waiting to be popped? Like, what's up with that? Is it like some sort of conspiracy to make us think we're eating one kernel when really we're having 10 🤣.

And on a totally unrelated note, I was watching this video of a cat playing the piano and I swear it was almost as good as me 😂. But seriously, who needs human pianists when you have cats? We could all learn from their carefree nature...

omg I'm so hyped about all these ppl standin up 2 defend democracy its like we r finally seein the gov'ts moves 4 what they r really doin 🤯 and ppl are NOT takin it lyin down! the trainings on nonviolent strategic action r mindblown, too - I mean, who knew there were so many peeps wantin to learn how 2 resist oppression in a peaceful way? 🤝 law firms & universities gettin involved is like, a total game-changer. we need 2 keep pushin forward, buildin coalitions & standin firm against the gov'ts overreach. I'm all about that resistance life 💪

🤕 my heart is literally breaking reading about all these injustices happening in the world rn, it feels like we're living in a never ending nightmare 😩 the thought of security forces being deployed against organizations and individuals who just want to fight for their rights and freedoms is so messed up 🚫 it's like they're trying to silence us and take away our voice 💁‍♀️

but you know what gives me hope? seeing all these amazing people standing up together, united in their pursuit of justice and equality ❤️ the fact that law firms are using their courts to defend rights and curb executive branch overreach is a huge step forward 🙌 and those trainings on nonviolent strategic action are really inspiring 🤩

we need to keep speaking out, supporting each other, and standing up against oppression 💪 we can't let fear dictate our actions, we have to be brave and fight for what's right 🌟

I don’t usually comment but... the thing that really gets me is how fast the US has gone from being a beacon of democracy to basically letting it slide 🤯. I mean, we're still talking about the same country that used to be all about freedom and justice for all, and now it feels like they're trying to silence anyone who's speaking out against them. It's like, what happened to the days of peaceful protests and open debate? Now it seems like the only way to get attention is to fight back with... well, not exactly violence, but intimidation and coercion 🚫.

And yeah, I guess history does warn us about this kind of thing, but that doesn't make it any easier to watch. I just wish more people would speak out against it, you know? We need more voices like the ones being used by pro-democracy organizations and legal teams to stand up for what's right 💪.
