i've been waiting to see how they'd retell the nativity story, and kevin costner seems like the perfect host 
he's got that all-American vibe going on, but at the same time has that depth to him. i love how they're trying to be more historically accurate too - cave instead of inn, it makes sense considering the time period 
anyway, can't wait to watch it live and see gia patel as mary, she's so talented 
I remember watching "The Ten Commandments" with Charlton Heston back in the day and it was so epic! This new special just feels like another way to mess around with something that's already perfect. I'm still gonna watch it though, because, Kevin Costner 
. But if I'm being real, I'd rather stick with my VHS copy of "It's a Wonderful Life" from 1999... there's just something about that film that never gets old

It just looks like a way to make a bunch of Hollywood money by rebranding a classic tale. And Kevin Costner as the host? More like Kevin Costner trying too hard, if you ask me
