I know the terrible cost of speaking out in Iran – and I beg the world to stand with those speaking out now | Nasrin Parvaz

"The World Must Stand with Iran's Bravest Protesters"

Nasrin Parvaz knows the horrors of speaking out against human rights abuses and state executions in Iran. She spent eight years behind bars, including time in the notorious Evin prison, where she was tortured into silence. Her voice has been silenced before, but now she's crying out to the world to listen.

Protesters in Iran, particularly women, have taken to the streets for decades, demanding an end to poverty, corruption, and unemployment. But their pleas often fall on deaf ears. The regime responds with brutal force, shooting into crowds of largely peaceful protesters, arresting thousands, and forcing confessions through torture.

The scale of the crackdown is staggering. According to Human Rights Activists news agency, 18,434 people have been arrested and 97 forced confessions have been broadcast on state television. The true death toll remains unknown, but reports suggest over 2,000 people have lost their lives.

For those who have survived, the trauma is all too real. Nasrin Parvaz remembers her friends who were executed during her own imprisonment, and the faces of the protesters she's seen are forever etched in her mind.

As the situation continues to deteriorate, Iran has plunged into an internet blackout, preventing the world from seeing the full extent of the regime's brutality. But Nasrin Parvaz refuses to be silenced. She urges the international community to raise its voice for Iranian protesters, demanding an end to executions, torture, and repression.

"We must stand shoulder to shoulder with the Iranian people," she writes. "We must insist that the use of torture ends right now." The world cannot afford to turn a blind eye to Iran's human rights crisis. It's time to listen to Nasrin Parvaz and the countless others who are fighting for their lives, freedom, dignity, and a future without fear.

🤕 I feel so bad for those Iranian protesters. They're already going through so much by speaking out against the gov't, now they're facing torture & death? 🚫 That's just not right. We need to stand with them & support their cause. Can't let the regime silence them like that. 18k+ arrested is crazy! What kinda world are we living in where ppl can be tortured into confession? 😱

omg like seriously 2000+ people losing their lives because of speaking out against the government is just insane 🤯 i remember when my friends and i were protesting against our school's uniform policy in 2012 and we got reprimanded by the principal lol but for real though the situation in iran is so bleak they're basically silencing anyone who dares to speak out and it's like totally unacceptable 💔 nasrin parvaz's story is just heartbreaking she spent 8 years in prison and was tortured into silence like what even is that?? we need to stand with her and all the other protesters who are fighting for their rights and freedom 🤝

🌎😱 18k+ people arrested, 97 forced confessions... it's just not right 🙅‍♂️ The world needs to step up and help Iran's bravest protesters who are fighting for their lives, freedom, and dignity 👊 We can't just sit back and watch the regime use brutal force against peaceful demonstrators 💔 Nasrin Parvaz is a hero for speaking out, even after being silenced before 🙏 It's time for us to raise our voices and demand an end to torture, executions, and repression 💪

🤕 honestly cant believe we still havent stepped in as a world to stop iran's brutal crackdown on peaceful protesters 🚫 18k+ arrested & hundreds of forced confessions...its like they think protestin is a crime 💔 nasrin parvaz spent yrs behind bars & now shes bein silenced again cuz we dont listen 🤐 need someone to pick up the mic & shout out for those facin oppression 👊

I'm still in shock after hearing about the latest crackdown on protesters in Iran 🤯. Eight years is way too long to spend behind bars just because you're trying to demand change from your government. The fact that 97 people have been forced into confessing on state TV is absolutely disgusting 😷. And those numbers of arrests? Forget about it, it's insane! 🚫

We need to raise our voices for Nasrin Parvaz and all the brave protesters out there who are fighting for their rights 💪. The international community needs to step up and put some pressure on the Iranian government to stop this brutality and start listening to its people. We can't just sit back and watch as innocent lives are lost, especially when we know that torture and executions are being used as tools of control 🚫💔.

I'm worried about what's going to happen if we don't take action soon... the world needs to wake up and realize that human rights abuses are happening right now, in plain sight 🔊. We can make a difference, we just need to stand together and demand change 💥.

this is getting out of hand in iran 🙅‍♂️ I mean, 18k+ people arrested and over 2k dead? that's just insane 💀 how can they keep silencing these protesters with internet blackouts? it's like they think we're not paying attention 🤔 or that we won't care about the lives lost. newsflash: we do care! 👊 the world needs to step up and demand change, but it starts with listening to people like nasrin parvaz who are actually living this horror 😱 we can't just sit back and let human rights abuses escalate 🚫

Umm I'm so worried about what's happening in Iran right now 🤕... I mean I can only imagine how scary it must be for them to speak out against such an oppressive government. 8 years in prison is just insane, the thought of being tortured into silence... it's like they're saying "you'll never speak up again". And the numbers are just staggering - over 2k people dead and thousands arrested? It's not right at all 😢. I think we should be doing more to support Nasrin Parvaz and all these brave protesters, you know, stand with them as she says... it's time for us to listen and take action 🤝.

💔 this is just heartbreaking... 18k+ ppl arrested & over 2000 killed already 🤯 how can the world just sit back & watch this happen? 🙅‍♀️ we need to take action now! 💪 it's not just about Nasrin Parvaz, it's about all those ppl who are fighting for their rights & freedom in Iran... they deserve our support! 🌟 if we don't stand with them, who will? 🤝

😕 I'm really worried about what's happening in Iran right now 🌎. The number of people arrested and tortured is just mind-blowing... 18,434? That's like filling up a stadium with protesters who were just trying to speak out for their rights! 💥 It's not fair that the regime is using violence and intimidation to silence them.

I also feel so bad for Nasrin Parvaz 🤕. She spent years in prison, including time in Evin prison, which sounds like one of the most awful places on earth 😨. I can only imagine how scary it must have been for her. And now she's speaking out again, urging the world to listen and help.

We need to stand with Nasrin and all the other protesters in Iran who are fighting for their freedom and human rights 🤝. It's not too much to ask from our leaders that they speak up against this kind of brutality. The international community needs to be more vocal about what's happening in Iran... it's time to take action 💪

The situation in Iran is really bloody 🤕. I mean, we gotta acknowledge the bravery of these protesters, but 97 forced confessions on state TV? That's just horrific 😱. I'm all for standing with them, but we need to be smart about it too. Can't just throw our hands up and demand an end to everything. We gotta put some pressure on the government without putting Iran in a bigger mess.

I'm not sure if internet blackouts are the right move either 🤔. It's like they're trying to hide something, but at the same time, it's making it harder for us to see what's really going on. I guess that's just how propaganda works, though 😒. Anyway, Nasrin Parvaz is speaking truth to power, and I'm all for her 👏. We should be supporting these protesters, but we gotta do it in a way that doesn't backfire. Maybe some targeted sanctions or something? Just not sure yet... 🤔
