Ugh I just got the worst case of hangry from a coffee shop that served ice cream for dessert. like what's the point of even calling it coffee if there's ice cream involved?! I swear my stomach is still growling even though I've had three cups of coffee. anyway, plantar fasciitis sounds like such a pain (literally) . I feel bad for people who have to deal with that kind of discomfort on a daily basis. has anyone else ever tried those foam roller thingies for foot pain? my friend swears by them and says they've made a huge difference
Ugh, I hate how everyone's always rushing into exercise without thinking about the consequences . Plantar fasciitis is like a ticking time bomb just waiting to happen if you're not careful. All that emphasis on "increasing activity levels gradually" - isn't that just code for "you need to be more patient and less impatient"? I mean, who has the time for that? The whole thing just seems like a way to make us feel guilty about not taking care of our feet...
10% of people in the US and UK get plantar fasciitis at some point - that's like 1 in 10 ppl! And did u know 2 million ppl in the US alone get it every year? That's a lot of heel pain . Causes are varied, but sudden activity changes & weight gain r big offenders! Increasing activity gradually can reduce risk by 50% . Strengthening foot muscles & stretching calf & Achilles tendons can also help prevent it. Even medical pros like Dr Aiyer got it . Rest for a week usually does the trick, but physio & exercises are key for recovery . Don't make same mistake as me!
u guys gotta be careful when gettin back into runnin or exercisin after a long break, trust me on that i thought i was fine too after doin a half-marathon yrs ago and then plantar fasciitis came outta nowhere! it's like, ur body needs time 2 adapt, not jump straight into it. just remember to stretch, strengthen ur feet & calf muscles, & wear supportive shoes, and u'll be golden
