OMG, can you believe what's going on in Chicago right now? 
So these immigration enforcement agents are literally swapping out license plates on rented vehicles like they own the place! I mean, I get that they need a way to track down people, but come on, is it really necessary to tamper with someone else's property?
I'm loving that the Illinois Secretary of State's office is taking action and putting these companies on notice. It's about time someone held them accountable for this shady stuff!
The fact that they're launching a hotline for people to report suspicious activity is genius, too. I mean, who doesn't love a good tip line?
And let's be real, if they can take down rental car companies over something as minor as swapping out license plates, what's next? Are we going to have to start wearing masks when we go to the grocery store?

anyway, i get why the state of illinois is cracking down - it's all about public safety and community protection. but at the same time, you gotta wonder how this operation went down in the first place... did nobody question what was going on? 
it's also kinda interesting that the rental car companies are getting warnings now - i guess they didn't realize they were helping out the feds with their "operation"
