I gotta say, I'm surprised they added "White Christmas" to the registry ๐ŸŽ„. I mean, it's not like it's a masterpiece or anything. It's just a cheesy musical rom-com from 1954. Don't get me wrong, I love Bing Crosby and all, but come on! ๐Ÿ™„ But hey, I guess it's better than nothing, right? And at least they included some documentaries, which is cool. "Say Amen, Somebody" is actually really interesting, did you know it was filmed in just one take? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Anyway, I'm glad the registry is adding more films to its collection, but let's be real, there are so many other classics that should've been included ๐Ÿค”.

I'm glad to see some old classics getting the recognition they deserve ๐ŸŽฅ๐Ÿ‘. I mean, who doesn't love a good ol' Hollywood musical like "White Christmas" (1954)? But at the same time, it's crazy how much of our film history is still missing... think about all those indie films or foreign movies that might be just as important but aren't getting the same recognition ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. And what's with the criteria for selection? Some people are gonna say it's too narrow, others will say it's not inclusive enough. But hey, I guess it's a start ๐Ÿ˜Š.

man... i love seeing all these oldies get the recognition they deserve ๐ŸŽฅ๐Ÿ‘ you know what really gets me though? how these classic flicks from like 100+ years ago can still give us so much to think about today... like take "the tramp and the dog" - that's just a silent film, but it shows us how even in the early days of cinema, people were already exploring complex themes like animal friendship & whatnot ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ’ญ same with "spearhead" being the first film to use the close-up shot - it's crazy to think about how far we've come, but also kinda humbling that our understanding of storytelling hasn't changed that much... anyway, just thinking about these films makes me realize how important it is to preserve our cultural history, even if it means taking a step back and appreciating the little things ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’ก

I'm low-key impressed by the new additions to the National Film Registry ๐ŸŽฅ. I mean, who knew "The Wrecking Crew" doco was part of this list? It's like they're celebrating the unsung heroes of LA music scene ๐Ÿ˜Ž. And can we talk about how classic Hollywood is still going strong with films like "Philadelphia" and "White Christmas"? It's crazy to think these movies have been around for decades, yet they still hold up ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ. What I find really cool is that the registry includes silent films like "The Tramp and the Dog". Like, who even knows about those? ๐Ÿค” It's a great reminder of how much history is hidden in old films, waiting to be rediscovered ๐Ÿ’ก.

I dunno why they're adding so many old movies to the registry... like, who's gonna watch "The Tramp and the Dog" (1896)? ๐Ÿค” That's some early film stuff, but I'm sure it's not as good as some of those newer flicks. And what about all these classic Hollywood films? They're just rehashing old stories that we've already seen a million times before... don't get me wrong, "Philadelphia" (1993) is a great movie and all, but I'm sure there are plenty of other great ones from more recent years.

And have you noticed how they're only including films that are "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant"? That's just code for "old movies that we need to preserve because they might be important one day". I mean, what about all the awesome stuff that gets released now? Are those films not worthy of preservation? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

๐ŸŽฅ I think its pretty cool they added some oldies like "The Tramp and the Dog" from 1896, it's crazy to think about how far back that is, i mean we've got like robots and artificial intelligence now lol. But seriously its awesome to see all these films included in the registry, i mean who doesn't love a good ol' fashioned classic Hollywood film like "Philadelphia". And sci-fi fans will be stoked to see "The Thing" on the list. It's great that they've got links to more info too, so we can learn more about these iconic films and their creators.

I'm so down for these old movies being added to the National Film Registry ๐ŸŽฅ๐Ÿ‘! It's awesome to see some of those classic Hollywood flicks like "Philadelphia" and "White Christmas" getting some love ๐Ÿ’–. I mean, who doesn't love a good ol' fashioned rom-com from the 50s? ๐Ÿ˜Š But seriously, it's amazing how many documentaries are on this list too - "Say Amen, Somebody" is like my favorite doc ever ๐Ÿ™Œ! And can you believe The Wrecking Crew made it in 2008? That's some cool stuff right there ๐Ÿ”ฅ. I'm definitely going to check out all these films and get a better understanding of American cinema history ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’ซ
