I gotta say, I'm surprised by all the outrage over Democrats not taking a stronger stance on ICE. Can't they see that taking on the powerful at their own level is what's gonna make a real difference? 
It's like, yeah, we get it, ICE has done some bad stuff, but if we wanna fix it, we gotta be willing to ruffle some feathers ourselves. I'm not saying Democrats are doing nothing, but this one Rep. Ramirez is trying her best with that bill and whatnot... 
And Governor Walz's response? Yeah, it was a bit underwhelming, I'll give him that. But can we really blame the guy for trying to maintain order in his state after those protesters got out of hand?
It's all about context, folks. The Democrats need to step up their game and take some real action, but they also gotta be smart about it... not just throw caution to the wind and expect everything to work out magically. 
I mean, what's going on with these Democrats?! They're supposed to be the voice of the people, but instead they're just sucking up to the powers that be like a bunch of sycophants 
. I'm talking about ICE and all the atrocities they've committed, and what do our so-called "leaders" do? Nothing! Zilch! Zero! They're too scared to take on the system, even when it's right in front of their faces.
. I mean, come on! You get ambushed by ICE agents and what do you do? Scold protesters? Give a half-baked speech? No way, man! That's not leadership, that's just spinning your wheels.
. It's like they're more worried about being re-elected than doing what's right. And you know what? The public is starting to catch on! We're waking up, and we're not going to take it lying down anymore 
. The Democrats need to step up their game and start fighting for the people, or else...
They're literally failing 2 live up 2 their obligations as the opposition party its like they dont even care about the ppl who need them most 
ICE agents are still brutalizing ppl and Democrats r just sitting there 
Meanwhile, Governors like Tim Walz r more concerned w/ taking selfies than actually doing something about the crisis 
. Meanwhile, we've got politicians like Governor Walz who are more concerned with being seen as "cool" and avoiding controversy than actually doing something about the issue 
. 
. We need to see some real leadership from them, especially when it comes to issues like immigration reform 
. The Intercept's point that they should be challenging entrenched power structures is spot on 
. If they can't even get their own party members to stand up for what's right, how are they supposed to win over the rest of us? 
. It's completely understandable to feel that way, especially when two innocent people lost their lives due to ICE agents. The fact that some Democrats are more concerned with protecting themselves than speaking out against injustice is really disheartening

. Maybe more people will follow her lead and demand real change
