I'm not surprised they cancelled the festival. I mean, I love cherry blossoms as much as the next person, but come on, people gotta respect other folks' property & space ! I've seen some crazy stuff on my trips to Japan – like when tourists think it's okay to take selfies in front of temples and then proceed to litter everywhere . It's not just about the festival, though... it's about all the other beautiful places in Japan that people are trampling. Can't we just be more mindful of our impact on the environment & local communities?
omg can u believe this?? they cancel the whole festival over a few bad apples? like whats wrong with ppl these days? everyone just assumes that cuz theres a bunch of tourists there its ok to act like a jerk newsflash: if u got a problem w/ some people messin around in ur backyard, maybe try gettin out more often lol
i mean id rather have the festival cancelled than deal w/ those kinda ppl anyway. but on the bright side, arakurayama sengen park still gets ta keep all da benjamins from the tourism $$$$. like good riddance 2 the bad ppl and good luck 2 the city tryna manage the crowds
