Joel Embiid and Paul George ruled out for Sixers-Magic, Embiid to miss eighth consecutive game

The Philadelphia 76ers have officially ruled out Joel Embiid and Paul George from the upcoming game against the Orlando Magic, citing concerns over an injury to both players. This decision comes as no surprise, given that Embiid has not played in eight consecutive games, with his last outing dating back to November 8.

Embiid's injury woes have been ongoing since early November, when he initially reported a right knee issue. The Sixers had initially listed him as day-to-day, despite the severity of the problem, and Embiid had been fully participating in practices before being ruled out from playing.

Coach Nick Nurse reiterated that Embiid remains day-to-day, emphasizing that he is "just waiting for doctors to clear" him. This statement has sparked some skepticism among fans and observers, who are eager to see the former NBA MVP return to action.

In related news, Tyrese Maxey was upgraded to available after initially being listed as probable. The Sixers will have to find alternative solutions to fill the void left by Embiid's absence, which is expected to be a significant blow given his immense talent and contributions to the team.

With Embiid set to miss his eighth game in a row, it remains to be seen when he will make his return to the court. The Sixers' decision to err on the side of caution in this regard has sparked concerns among fans, who are eager to see their star player back in action as soon as possible.

.. I think the Sixers are being super cautious with Embiid, which is understandable considering his injury history 🤕. It's hard not to get frustrated when you see your team struggling without one of its best players, but at the same time, you can't blame them for wanting to make sure he's 100% before putting him back on the court.

I'm a bit surprised they're not being more optimistic about his return, considering how close he is to being fully cleared by the docs 🤔. It's like, we get it, Embiid has been dealing with injuries, but now that he's day-to-day again, can't you see him practicing and getting back into form?

The thing is, when you have a player of Embiid's caliber, everyone expects him to be a game-changer on the court 💪. His absence is definitely going to be felt, especially against teams like the Magic who are looking to exploit any weakness they can find. The Sixers will need to get creative and figure out ways to compensate for his lack of presence in the paint 🤔.

I'm also wondering when Embiid will make his return... if he's day-to-day now, it could be as soon as next week? 🤞 only time will tell, but one thing's for sure - we're all rooting for him to get back on track and help his team win some games! 😅

Ugh, not again 🤕. It's like Embiid is cursed or something. Eight games without playing and still no clear timeline for his return? I get it, they don't want to risk making things worse, but this is getting frustrating for fans. Maxey's upgrade is a nice pick-me-up, but it's not the same as having Embiid on the court. I just hope he gets the medical attention he needs and comes back stronger than ever 🤞. Can't wait for the season to start again and hopefully get some consistency from our star player 🏀.

🤦‍♂️ I feel for Joel Embiid, been waiting 8 games and still no clear return date 🕰️. The Sixers seem cautious, which is fair considering his injury history 🤕. Tyrese Maxey being upgraded to available helps, but it's not the same as having Embiid on the court 💔. Fans are getting restless, I get it 👀, we've all been in their shoes when our favorite team is missing a key player 😩.

I was just reading about a weird thing I saw online, this huge bird spotted flying over someone's house 🌳😮 and it got me thinking... have you ever seen those videos of birds somehow "playing" with drones? Like, they're chasing the drone around or something? 🤯 I mean, what's up with that? It's like they're trying to communicate or something! And speaking of weird stuff, did you know that some scientists think that maybe birds can actually recognize each other's songs and remember them for years? 🐦👂 Mind blown, right?

🤔 I just got back from a crazy road trip with my friends and we saw the most epic sunset 🌅. Like, it was so beautiful that I felt like I was staring at a painting, you know? And then we started talking about how amazing it is to experience those moments of pure beauty in life... anyway, back to Joel Embiid - hope he's feeling better soon! 🤞

🤔 I get why they're being cautious with Embiid's injury, but it feels like a bit overkill given how his knee is still pretty much fine from last season... still gotta be worried about the knee tho 😬. On another note, I think this is an opportunity for Tyrese Maxey to step up and show what he's made of 🌟. The team can't rely on just one player all the time anyway 💪

idk why ppl r so stressed bout embiid not playin... he's been injury prone 4 ages now, so like, what did we expect? 😒 the sixers gotta prioritize his health over tryin 2 rush him back, even if it means losin a game or two. and newsflash: tyrese maxey can do just that! 🤔 maybe this is an opportunity for him 2 shine without embiid hoggin all the attention?
