Jorgen Strand Larsen to Crystal Palace: Wolves striker completes £48m transfer to Selhurst Park as Jean-Philippe Mateta stays

omg i'm loving this transfer window so far 🤩 crystal palace just broke their record and got jorgen strand larsen for 48m 🤑 that's insane! but gotta say, only one goal in 18 months is pretty meh 😐 hopefully he can get back to form soon. i do love jamie carragher's take on the guy tho 👍 he thinks he's a good player and has been unfairly judged this season. 14 non-penalty goals last season is some serious business 🤯 but it'll be tough for larsen to start ahead of jean-philippe mateta at palace, according to carragher. and btw, it looks like mateta won't be leaving after all 💪 james savundra's got the tea on that one 😉

I'm not surprised Crystal Palace splashed out big for Larsen 🤑. They've been trying to strengthen their squad and this move definitely brings in some much-needed firepower ⚽️. 18 months without a goal though is a bit of a worry, I hope he can get back to his old form 😅. The thing that interests me most is how Mateta fits into the team - is it really just about two number 10s? 🤔 Carragher's got a point, Larsen's a good player and he deserves a chance to prove himself. But Palace have invested so much in this season, I hope they can deliver on their expectations 🏆

I think Crystal Palace's move for Jorgen Strand Larsen is a fascinating development, especially given the circumstances surrounding his departure from Wolves 🤔. The fact that Everton was willing to offer £20m plus add-ons suggests that Larsen has undervalued himself in the market, and I'm intrigued to see how he'll perform under Palace's management.

The juxtaposition of Jamie Carragher's assessment of Larsen being a "good player who has been unfairly marked down" with Sky Sports News' claims about Mateta starting ahead of him is also worth noting 📊. It seems that the Norwegian striker still faces an uphill battle to regain his Premier League form, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt given Carragher's glowing praise.

On a related note, AC Milan's withdrawal of their offer for Mateta raises interesting questions about Palace's transfer strategy and how they balance individual player goals with the club's overall vision 🤝. One thing is certain: this move will undoubtedly shake up the Premier League landscape! 😬

I think Crystal Palace have made a huge mistake signing Jorgen Strand Larsen for £48m! 🤯 I mean, the guy's been rubbish in the Premier League this season and you're paying almost half that amount for him? It's just not logical. Jamie Carragher makes a valid point about him being unfairly judged but at the end of the day, it's up to the player to perform.

And what's with Palace breaking their transfer record twice already this window? They need to be careful who they're signing because if Larsen doesn't get his act together, it's gonna be a disaster. Mateta makes way more sense for me - he's been great in the past and I trust him way more than this new addition. 🤔

OMG, I'm SHOOK by how big this transfer is for Crystal Palace! £48m is insane for a striker, and I think Jorgen Strand Larsen's gonna bring some serious fire to the team. I mean, yeah, he didn't exactly set the Premier League ablaze last season, but Jamie Carragher makes some solid points about him being an underrated player 😊.

I'm also low-key excited that Mateta gets to stay at Palace - it'll be sick to see those two play together! But for real, what's up with Sky Sports pundits always having different takes on the same thing? 🤣 Either way, I think this transfer is gonna make a huge impact on Palace's chances this season 💪.

💯 I dont get why Crystal palace pay so much for this guy, 1 goal in 18 months isnt exactly fire 🔥🔴 he's got skills and stuff, but i think jame carragher has a point, the team system needs to change, maybe start him on bench and see how it goes 🤔
