Katie and Alison Crutchfield Plot First (and Maybe Only) Snocaps Tour

Sisters Katie and Alison Crutchfield Reunite with Fellow Musicians for Cozy Snocaps Tour

In a surprise move, indie music project Snocaps has announced its first – possibly only – tour. The six-date run will feature the quartet performing at Thalia Hall in Chicago on December 1st and 2nd, Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles on December 4th and 5th, and Bowery Ballroom in New York City on December 7th and 8th.

Each concert will have a different opener, with artists such as Ryan Davis and the Roadhouse Band, Cloakroom, Graham Hunt, Slippers, Mike Krol, Brennan Wedl, and Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band set to join Snocaps for the performances. Tickets for all shows go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on November 7th, with an artist pre-sale beginning on November 5th.

Snocaps, which features Katie Crutchfield (Waxahatchee), Alison Crutchfield (Swearin'), MJ Lenderman, and Brad Cook, recently released its self-titled debut album on October 31st. The 13-track album marks the first time the siblings have collaborated since their punk band P.S. Eliot in the mid-2000s.

According to Katie, the setlist for the tour will include Snocaps songs as well as tracks from P.S. Eliot and Allison's solo LP Tourist In This Town. The Crutchfields plan to dust off some of Waxahatchee's older material, which they have been avoiding on recent tours.

"I like to be a little mysterious in how I present my offerings to you," Katie wrote in a post announcing the tour. "This feels like a fun thing to let you all the way in on." It remains unclear whether Snocaps will embark on further concerts beyond this December run, but for now, fans can look forward to a cozy and intimate performance from the talented quartet.

OMG, I'm so down for this! A reunion tour with Katie and Alison Crutchfield is like, the ultimate gift for Waxahatchee fans 😍🎉. Snocaps has been flying under the radar, but their self-titled album is, like, so good 🎶. It's awesome that they're gonna play some of P.S. Eliot tracks and Katie's old waxahatchee jams - I'm sure it'll be a wild ride 🤘. The fact that they're calling it the "cozy snocaps tour" is already giving me all the feels ❤️, can't wait to snag tickets on sale day!

I'M SO DOWN FOR THIS SNOCAPS TOUR!!! 🎉 IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE WE'VE SEEN THE CRUTCHFIELD SISTERS SHINE ON STAGE TOGETHER AND I KNOW THEY'RE GOING TO BRING THE HEAT!!! THEY JUST RELEASED THEIR DEBUT ALBUM AND IT'S LIKE, WHOA, I LOVE THE NEW SOUND!!! 🎶 THE FACT THAT THEY'RE GONNA PLAY SOME OF WAXAHATCHEE'S OLDER STUFF TOO IS GOING TO BE SO NOSTALGIC FOR OLD SCHOOL FANS!!! 🙌

I'm so stoked about Snocaps' Cozy Snocaps Tour 🎸🎶! I mean, have you seen the lineup? It's like a dream come true for indie music fans. The fact that Katie and Alison Crutchfield are reuniting with their fellow musicians is just amazing. And let's be real, it's been too long since we've heard from P.S. Eliot - this tour is like a nostalgic trip back to the early 2000s 🕰️.

I love how the setlist will include tracks from Snocaps, as well as some older material from Waxahatchee and Allison's solo LP Tourist In This Town. It's clear that Katie wants to create an intimate experience for her fans, which is exactly what this tour promises - cozy and fun. I'm really hoping they'll announce more dates beyond the December run, because who wouldn't want to see Snocaps live again? 😊
