ugh I'm so down for this move lol they needed a spark and Sean Newcombe's gonna bring it!!! I mean 102 losses last season? that's insane! but if anyone can turn things around its him

they're like "hey let's sign sean newcomb and hope he brings relief" no kidding! it's about time they invested in their pitching staff, 102 losses is crazy 
anyway, i love that sean newcomb still wants to be a starter tho, it shows he's got the fire 
now we just gotta see how he'll do in this new role and if he can bring some much-needed stability to the team 
... I mean, it's not like they've had their problems with pitchers being too injury-prone or anything 
. It'll be interesting to see if Newcomb can really live up to his "eat up innings" promise - after all, a guy who's been in and out of the rotation for years isn't exactly built for marathon starts 
. And hey, at least they're trying to address their starters' issues, I guess... now if only they could figure out how to keep them healthy for more than one game without needing a bullpen intervention
