Miami's Music Scene is Sizzling with Afrobeta's New Single 'Head Games'

Afrobeta, a dynamic duo from Miami, is set to turn up the heat at ZeyZey Miami this weekend with their infectious pop-electronica sound. The group, comprised of Tony Smurphio and Cuci Amador, brings their unique blend of music that perfectly captures the essence of Miami's vibrant nightlife.

According to Tony Smurphio, Afrobeta's electro-pop and funk sound is born from acoustic instruments converted into electronic pieces. "We write our songs on acoustic instruments, and then we convert them into electronic pieces," he explains. Cuci Amador adds, "If the Estefans had a baby with Chromeo, you would be Afrobeta."

Their new single 'Head Games' is a danceable, funky track that showcases Cuci's empowered woman persona. Tony notes, "The sound is fantastic. Miami is notorious for not prioritizing live music as much as DJ culture, but ZeyZey is doing it right." The venue's beautiful outdoor space and perfect weather on Friday make it an ideal spot to connect with new people.

Cuci highlights the importance of feeling like a "third space" – a place where you can hang out and meet people outside your home or work. This concept resonates with Afrobeta's goal of creating an inclusive atmosphere at their shows, encouraging fans to feel at ease and make new friends.

Afrobeta takes over the main stage at ZeyZey Miami on Friday, 23rd at 8 p.m., and it's free! The show promises to be an unforgettable night of music and energy. Don't miss out on the opportunity to experience Afrobeta's unique sound in person.

I'm so over this whole 'vibrant nightlife' hype in Miami, it's just another example of people chasing a fleeting high life 🤷‍♂️. And what's with all the emphasis on 'inclusivity' and 'third spaces'? Sounds like code for 'we want to make money off you by selling overpriced drinks and mediocre food'. ZeyZey Miami is probably just gonna be another crowded, noise-inducing venue where everyone's too busy taking selfies to actually enjoy the music 📸. Afrobeta's sound might be catchy, but I bet it'll get lost in the din of all the screaming fans and DJ culture 😴.

idk why people still go to these outdoor concerts in the middle of summer 😂 like dont you get heatstroke or get eaten alive by bugs?? why miami even hosts this stuff? it should be all indoors with AC and air conditioning lol 🤣

I'm so stoked to see Afrobeta killin' the Miami music scene right now 🤩. I mean, their pop-electronica vibe is giving me all the feels - it's like they're serving up a fusion of funk and sparkle ✨. Tony & Cuci's chemistry is undeniable, and that 'Head Games' track? 🔥 It's the perfect blend of catchy hooks and infectious beats.

I love how Afrobeta's creating an inclusive atmosphere at their shows - it's all about feelin' like you're in a third space where everyone's chillin', not just partying 🤗. That's what I think Miami's music scene is all about: community, vibes, and good ol' fashioned fun 🌴.

And ZeyZey Miami is doing an awesome job hosting Afrobeta - it's gonna be such a rad show! Can't wait to see Tony & Cuci bring that energy to the stage 💃. If you're in Miami this Friday, you gotta check it out - it's free and totally worth it 🎉!

Ugh I'm so done with how much commercialization is ruining live music 🤦‍♂️... like, don't get me wrong, Afrobeta sounds awesome & all, but it feels like every show is just another big festival now 🎉... where's the intimacy? Where's the real connection between artist and audience? I mean, sure Cuci Amador's powerful vocals are amazing, but can we still enjoy a chill night out at ZeyZey without feeling like we're stuck in a giant party scene? 😕 Still, gotta respect Afrobeta for spreading that inclusive vibe & bringing people together, that's what music is all about, right? 🎶

I'm not buying all this hype around Afrobeta's new single 'Head Games' just yet... I mean, don't get me wrong, their music does have that infectious vibe 🌴, but is it really something new and groundbreaking? It sounds like your average EDM pop track to me. And what's with the whole "Miami's notorious for not prioritizing live music" thing? Like, come on, we all know how crazy the scene can get here 🔊. I'm just saying, let's wait and see if this show lives up to the hype before we start crowning Afrobeta as the next big thing 🤔

OMG, I'm low-key obsessed with Afrobeta!!! 🤩 Their new single 'Head Games' is giving me LIFE 💃🏽! I mean, who doesn't love a catchy beat and funky vibes? And Tony Smurphio's explanation about creating music from acoustic instruments to electronic beats is like, totally genius 🎸. But what really gets me is the vibe they're going for with ZeyZey Miami - it's all about creating that inclusive third space where people can let loose and meet new peeps 🤝. Can't wait to see them live on Friday!

ZeyZey Miami is literally the perfect venue for this - I love that they're prioritizing live music over DJ culture! 🌴💃 It's going to be such a fun night with Afrobeta on stage, and I'm so down for that "third space" vibe where everyone can just let loose and have a good time. I'm low-key obsessed with this new single 'Head Games' from Afrobeta 🤩 they're killing the Miami scene right now, and it's not just because of their sick beats – it's the vibe they bring to every show. It feels like a third space, you know? Where you can let your hair down and just enjoy good music with people who are all about that life 💃🏽. Tony Smurphio and Cuci Amador are on point with creating an inclusive atmosphere, it's not just about the music, it's about making people feel at home. And I love how they're taking over ZeyZey Miami this weekend – free show? More like a must-see event 😉

Ugh, I'm getting all nostalgic for those old-school Estefan concerts 🎉🔥. Remember how they would just take over the whole place with their live show? Now it seems like DJ culture is king and the main stage is all about electronic beats 🎶. I mean, Afrobeta's sound is fire 🔥, but it's not the same as seeing a full band perform live on stage 😔. And can we talk about how cool it was to buy a ticket to see a concert? Nowadays, everything is just free or open mic nights 🤷‍♀️. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for inclusivity and meeting new people, but sometimes I miss the good old days of going out to a show and feeling like you're part of something special ✨. Anyway, Afrobeta's 'Head Games' single is looking 🔥, so I'll def be checking it out 🎵!

ill be there 🎉👀🕺 so cant wait for friday lol. im all about that afrobeat vibe 🔄🔥 sounds like zeyzey miami is gonna bring the energy 💃💪 cuci amador seems like a total boss woman 💁‍♀️ and tonys comments on live music being prioritized are so true 🙌 its time for zydeco/miami scene to shine 💡

miami's music scene is getting lit 🎶💃 Afrobeta's new single 'Head Games' is straight fire 🔥 and i'm loving their vibe, it's like a fusion of everything that makes miami so special - the energy of latin music, the funkiness of chromeo, and the pop sensibilities of the estefans 🤩 but at the same time, i'm also thinking about how our city is still lacking in live music venues, especially when you consider the emphasis on dj culture 😔 zeyzey miami seems like a breath of fresh air tho, can't wait to see Afrobeta bring the house down this friday 🎉

🎶 I'm so down for this! Afrobeta is already one of my faves, and their live shows are always lit 🔥. I love how they're bringing that Miami vibe to ZeyZey Miami - it's gonna be a sick night 🤩. What I really like about them is that they're not just about the music, but also creating this inclusive space for fans to connect. It's all about feeling that third space where you can let loose and meet new people 😊. Speaking of which, have we talked about ZeyZey Miami before? 🤔 They've been killing it with their live events, and I'm stoked they're bringing Afrobeta on board 💥.
