The fact that they can have a convo without getting too heated is actually kinda refreshing. Mamdani seems like someone who wants to get stuff done, not just throw shade or stir up drama. Plus, it's cool that he's acknowledging the differences in opinions on immigration policies - at least we know where he stands

he's showing us how to take control of our own city's future without needing some outsider's 'help' 
i'm loving this shift in politics, more local leaders who actually care about the community 
... I mean, it's already a big deal for NY City politics, but what really got me is how calm and confident he came out of that meeting. Like, Trump's been known to stir up drama, but Mamdani just handled all the talk about deploying National Guard troops like it was no biggie 
. I'm totally on board with him distancing himself from those comments - our NYPD does an amazing job keeping the city safe! 
But at the same time, if Mamdani thinks they can make some progress on cost of living and quality of life, that's def worth celebrating! 
And I'm all for him distancing himself from Trump's more... let's say "colorful" statements 
. The fact that he stuck to his guns on public safety is a good sign too. Plus, the fact that they might actually work together on immigration policies could be a win-win 
. Can we please just focus on the positives and see how this plays out? 
. Still, I'm waiting for some actual concrete plans and not just empty promises from our future mayor 
I mean, I get it, we need more support for law enforcement, but come on, a federal takeover? That's just crazy talk! 
At least Mamdani was honest about it. And honestly, who knows what really went down in that meeting? Maybe Trump was playing some kind of game to see how far Mamdani would bend... 
i feel like we need to know more about their immigration policies tho idk how politics works but as a newbie im still trying to wrap my head around it
