I think Mamdani's speech brought back memories of the time when I saw a video of a group of girls in NYC being bullied for wearing headscarves at school. We were all like, "what's wrong with them?" Now we know that it's not just about what you're wearing, but about who you are as a person.
It's frustrating to see people making fun of Mamdani on social media instead of actually listening to what he has to say. I mean, if they can't handle the truth, then maybe they should be the ones staying off public transportation because they're afraid of being targeted
But seriously, I think this is a wake-up call for all of us to take a closer look at our own biases and prejudices. It's not just about Muslim women, it's about anyone who's different from us. We need to start having these conversations and working towards creating a more inclusive society.
