A Texas man posing as an executive for a reality TV show has been arrested two years after he was charged with sex assault in two states. Trenton Roy, 26, is being held on a $250,000 bond in Harris County, where he was arrested in late November.
Roy had been identified online as an "executive" for the streaming platform The Zeus Network and had reached out to women from its official account to audition for the reality show "Baddies South". A search warrant filed in the case reveals that one of these women, a 24-year-old woman from another state, participated in a virtual audition and was invited to come to Houston for a second audition.
When the woman arrived at Roy's home near the Fifth Ward, she claimed he pressured her into having sex with him after she declined. According to the search warrant, Roy told her that if she didn't comply, "you're fired". The woman said she felt like she had no choice but to give in to his advances.
The next day, the woman alleged that Roy again assaulted her at his home, and a sex assault charge was filed against him in Harris County in October 2023. Roy was arrested at the end of November and has been held on a $250,000 bond since then.
But it appears that Roy's trouble with the law goes back further. In April 2024, he was charged in Maricopa County, Arizona, with two counts of sex assault, strangulation, and kidnapping after another woman claimed he had assaulted her at his home there as well. The prosecution dismissed those charges earlier this year to send the case back to a grand jury.
The investigation into Roy's activities is ongoing, and authorities are still trying to determine how he was taken into custody.
