Manchester United pulled off a coup by signing Lea Schüller – so what will she bring?

Manchester United has landed a major coup with the signing of prolific German striker Lea Schüller, who promises to bring a winning mentality and deadly finishing ability to Old Trafford. The 28-year-old's impressive record in Germany's Frauen Bundesliga, where she has scored over 50 goals in each of the past seven seasons, raises questions about what the club can expect from her on the pitch.

Daniel Kraus, Schüller's former coach at SGS Essen and Bayern Munich, believes that United have signed a world-class player. "She has everything to be a top striker - speed, two great feet, good heading ability, and strength," he says. "If she gets used to the style of play in England and can add more physicality to her game, she could become an even bigger threat."

Kraus remembers Schüller's early days with Essen, where she was just 19 years old but had already shown incredible potential. He recalls how she excelled as a central striker, playing straight down the middle most of the time, and how her pace and finishing ability made her almost unstoppable in the box.

Schüller's arrival at United is also seen as an opportunity for her to play alongside other talented attackers like Fridolina Rolfö and Ella Toone. Her ability to score goals from crosses, which has been a hallmark of her game throughout her career, could be a major factor in Manchester United's attacking success this season.

While there are concerns about Schüller's experience playing in England, her confidence and eagerness to fit into the team quickly suggest that she will thrive at Old Trafford. As she said in her first interview with MUTV: "I think this team, and the way they play football, can fit me very well... I'm a direct player so my strength is speed and headers. This team looks like it makes many crosses, so that's perfect for me."

United fans are eagerly awaiting Schüller's debut and can only hope that she will bring a winning mentality to the club, as her former coach believes she has the potential to become an even bigger threat on the pitch.

I'm loving this signing 🤩! Lea Schüller is literally a goal-scoring machine 💥, and I'm excited to see her bring that magic to Old Trafford. The fact that she's played with such consistency in Germany's Frauen Bundesliga for years speaks volumes about her quality. She's got the pace, finishing ability, and strength to cause problems for any defense 🚫. And playing alongside Fridolina Rolfö and Ella Toone is going to create some amazing attacking combinations 🔥! I'm intrigued to see how she adapts to the English game, but from what I've seen so far, she's got the confidence and eagerness to fit in quickly. Fingers crossed this signing brings a winning mentality to Manchester United 🤞

🤔 I gotta say, signing Lea Schüller is a solid move for United... but let's be real, 50 goals in seven seasons in Germany's Frauen Bundesliga? That's not just impressive, that's almost ridiculously consistent 🙌. But at the same time, it's hard to ignore the fact that she's never played in the Premier League before and we all know how quickly things can change on the pitch 😬.

I love her confidence, though - it's infectious! And if she can bring that winning mentality to Old Trafford, I'm all for it 💪. But, let's also keep in mind that Fridolina Rolfö and Ella Toone are talented players too, so we'll have to wait and see how they mesh with Schüller on the pitch 🤝.

One thing that gets me excited is her finishing ability - those headers? 😲 I've seen her do some insane things in training sessions, so I'm hopeful she can bring that magic to United's attack. Only time will tell if this signing pays off... but for now, I'm feeling optimistic about our chances 🎉!

🤔 this signing feels like a no-brainer to me... lea schüller is a beast! 🐺 i mean, 50 goals in 7 seasons isn't something you see every day. her stats are insane and she's got all the makings of a top striker - speed, skill, and strength. it's exciting to think about what she'll bring to old trafford... 👍

omg yaaas 🤩 lea schüller is gonna be 🔥💪 my favorite player already 😍 she's got speed power and those goals 🏆 cant wait 2 c her at old trafford 👀 hopefully she brings that winning mentality too 💪🏽 united fans r lucky 😊

🤕 just read about Manchester United signing Lea Schüller... think its gonna be super tough for her 2 adapt 2 english football 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 she's got some big shoes 2 fill w/ all the talented attackers on the team like Fridolina Rolfö & Ella Toone... plus, they're gonna be playing at Old Trafford which is notoriously difficult 4 opposing teams 🏟️🔴

omg schüller is gonna be fire at man u!!! i mean have you seen her stats in germany?? 50 goals in 7 seasons?! that's insane 💥💪 i'm lowkey hyped for this transfer, but also kinda worried about adapting to english football... how will she hold up against the pace of the prem? 🤔 but honestly i trust kraus' judgment as her coach - he knows what makes her tick 🙌 and playing alongside fridolina rolfö and ella toone sounds like a dream team setup 🔥 can't wait for schüller's debut and seeing how she brings that winning mentality to old trafford 💚

👏 think its cool they got lea schüller at man u, always loved watching german football 🤩. big shoes to fill but i reckon she'll do alright, 50 goals in 7 seasons is no joke 💪. gotta see how she fits into the team tho, might take some time to get used to english football. hope we can expect more goals from her soon 📈

I gotta be real with you 🤔... 50 goals in 7 seasons is sick, but is it a transferable skill? Is she just scoring against weaker teams in Germany or can she take down top-level opponents? I'm also not convinced by her "winning mentality" – what does that even mean? Can't we just watch her play and see if she's got the goods on the pitch?

I love how excited everyone is about her arrival, but let's not get ahead of ourselves 🚀. We've seen plenty of big-name signings flop at United before. Schüller's gotta prove herself, and it won't be easy 🔥. I'm all for giving her a chance, but let's keep our expectations in check, you feel? 😊

OMG 🤩 I'm so hyped about Lea Schüller joining Man Utd! She's got the skills and confidence to make a real difference in the team 😎 I love that she's played straight down the middle most of the time, it shows her versatility on the pitch. And can you imagine playing alongside Fridolina Rolfö and Ella Toone? The attacking chances are gonna be endless ⚽

I do have some concerns about her experience playing in England though... but I'm sure she'll fit in quickly 🤗 And that's what matters, right? Her confidence is infectious, it's like she's already got the winning mentality 💪 Schüller's style of play is so different from Germany, and I think she'll bring a fresh dynamic to the team. Let's hope she can live up to her former coach's expectations 🤞

I'm low-key hyped about Lea Schüller joining Man United 🤩! She sounds like an absolute beast on the pitch - speed, two great feet, and a deadly finishing ability? yeah, that's a winning recipe 🔥. I love how she knows her strengths (she's all about that pace and heading ability life) and is excited to play with other talented attackers. The fact that she's confident in fitting into the team quickly is music to my ears 🎵. Now, let's see if she can bring a winning mentality to Old Trafford... fingers crossed! 💕

Omg, I'm SO hyped about this move! 🤩 Manchester United just scored big with Lea Schüller's signing! 💥 The German striker is a beast on the pitch and I can already imagine her scoring goals from crosses all game long ⚽️. With Fridolina Rolfö and Ella Toone already on the team, it's going to be like a dream come true for United fans 😍. Schüller's confidence and eagerness to fit in quickly is music to my ears 🎶. Let's hope she brings that winning mentality and helps Old Trafford become an unstoppable force 🔥. #LeaSchüller #ManchesterUnited #WomenInFootball 💪

OMG, I'm super stoked about Lea Schüller joining Manchester United!!! 🤩 She sounds like an absolute beast on the field with all that speed and finishing ability 💪🏽! I love how her former coach is hyping up her skills and expecting big things from her 🎯. The fact that she's a direct player who excels at headers just shows how versatile she can be ⚽️.

I'm really curious to see how she'll fit in with the rest of the team, especially those talented attackers Fridolina Rolfö and Ella Toone 💫. But honestly, I think she's got this! 🙌 Her confidence is shining through, and that's what makes me think she'll thrive at Old Trafford 🔥.

Bring on her debut match already!!! ⏰ Can't wait to see what kind of magic she brings to the pitch 🎩. She's gonna be a fan fave for sure 💕!

OMG, this is like the best news ever! Lea Schüller sounds like a total beast on the pitch! 50 goals in 7 seasons? Mind blown! I'm so hyped for her debut at Old Trafford 🤩🏆 I love how she's confident and excited to join the team - it's infectious! The fact that she can play alongside other talented attackers is just a bonus - imagine those crosses being a major factor in their attacking success this season 🔥⚽️ Fingers crossed she brings a winning mentality to Man United, that would be amazing 💪

I'm not buying it just yet... 🤔 I mean, 50 goals in seven seasons is impressive, but I've seen some German strikers do that before 😏. It's all about how they adapt to the Premier League and Old Trafford's fast-paced style of play. Lea Schüller's gotta prove herself out there, show us she's more than just a skilled player – that winning mentality Daniel Kraus talks about is what'll set her apart from other strikers. And I'm excited to see how she works with Fridolina Rolfö and Ella Toone, should be some interesting chemistry going on 🔥

I'm low-key excited about this signing, but I gotta wonder what kinda message is Manchester United trying to send by going all out for Lea Schüller? Are they saying that their women's team isn't good enough on its own or that they need a superstar like her to carry the load? It feels like they're trying to prove something, you feel me?

And let's be real, this signing is also about the politics of football. I mean, what kind of sponsorship deals did United secure to make room for Schüller's massive transfer fee? Is it fair to say that they prioritized getting a top-class player over investing in the team's grassroots development programs?

😂 I'm loving this! They're finally signing some decent talent over there... 50+ goals in 7 seasons? That's insane for women's football! 🤯 It's gonna be interesting to see how she adapts to the Premier League pace, but if anyone can do it, it's Lea Schüller. The fact that she's already confident about fitting into the team and playing with their style is a big plus. And oh man, the potential attacking combinations with Rolfö and Toone? 🤩 Can't wait to see some sick goals from her! 👏

🤔 I'm excited for this move, but also got some doubts about it... Like, is she really gonna fit in with all those super-talented attackers? Will she be able to hold her own alongside Fridolina and Ella? 🏃‍♀️ And what's up with the lack of depth on defense? We can't just rely on our new striker to carry us through the season...

Plus, I'm curious to see how Schüller adapts to the EPL. Is she really gonna thrive in this fast-paced league like her coach thinks? 🤷‍♀️ And what about that interview she gave with MUTV? Sounds a bit too good to be true... Did she not watch any of our games last season?! 😂

I'm low-key hyped about Lea Schüller joining Man Utd 🤩🔥! She's got some serious skills on the pitch and I love how confident she is 😎. 50+ goals in 7 seasons? That's a lot of damage done ⚽💪. If she can bring that winning mentality to Old Trafford, we might just have a shot at winning some trophies 🏆. The way she talks about playing with the other attackers sounds like a dream team to me 🤝👫. Fingers crossed she settles in quickly and scores some goals for us 🙏⚽️.
