Mark Zuckerberg says Reality Labs will (eventually) stop losing so much money

idk about this new direction for Reality Labs... I mean, I get it, $19 billion losses can't keep going on forever 🤑. But cutting 1,000 jobs is crazy talk. Those people were likely doing some cool stuff that's still useful today.

And what's with the shift to smart glasses and wearables? I thought Reality Labs was all about virtual reality... now it feels like Meta's just trying to be Apple or something 📱. The CEO's vision of AI "superintelligence" sounds nice, but how does that even work?

I'm glad they're focusing on making Horizon work better on mobile tho. That's still a solid VR experience. But if they stop talking about the metaverse and start talking more about AR glasses... it feels like Meta is playing catch-up with Google or something 🤖.

I don’t usually comment but I think it’s weird that they're trying to pivot from VR to just AR glasses 🤔. Like, aren't they essentially the same thing? And what's with the "superintelligence" thing? Is he just trying to sell us on some fancy tech 💻? Also, 19 billion in losses is crazy 😱. I hope they can turn it around but I'm not holding my breath 🤷‍♂️.
 
I'm not buying it 🤑... I mean, $19 billion losses isn't nothing to sneeze at! You'd think a multibillion-dollar company like Reality Labs would have more tricks up its sleeve than just laying off 1,000 people and shutting down studios. Plus, Zuckerberg's not even mentioning the term "metaverse" anymore? That's gotta be some kinda PR move 🤔... what's really going on behind the scenes? Where are these $billions of investments going? And how can he promise a profit from Horizon without giving us any actual numbers or timelines? Not convinced, Mark 😐
