Ditch the Doldrums: Marrow's Eastern Market Location to Open Soon in Detroit

Detroit's culinary scene is about to get a boost with the grand opening of Marrow in the Market, a butcher's brasserie located in the heart of Eastern Market. The new eatery will officially swing open its doors at 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 13th.

Tucked away at 2442 Riopelle Street, Marrow in the Market promises to be an immersive dining experience that combines exceptional food with responsibly sourced meat and meaningful hospitality. Owner Ping Ho's vision for the restaurant is centered around nourishing the community through "food, connection, and care." The unique space boasts a working meat plant, two bars, a large dining room, and private event space.

The facility will not only serve as a showcase for Marrow's exceptional cuisine but also provide fresh meats, sausages, deli cuts, and other gourmet offerings to complement Eastern Market's weekend farmers' and shopping markets. Led by culinary director Andrew Shedden, the menu will feature lunch options such as sandwiches, rotisserie chicken, and grilled meats available for dine-in or carryout.

Additionally, brunch plans are underway, and an event space will host private themed dinners and educational events. The facility will also supply meats to Marrow's other locations and partners, including its flagship at 8044 Kercheval Street in Detroit and a recently opened suburban outpost at 283 Hamilton Row in Birmingham.
