Massive landslide in eastern DR Congo coltan mine kills at least 200

Wow 🤯 - Can you even imagine what it must be like to live in a place where militias are taking over and exploiting people for their own gain? 😱 200 lives lost is just heartbreaking, and I'm sure there are so many more who could have been saved if things were different. The whole situation just feels so senseless...

🌪️ This is just heartbreaking, another devastating loss of life due to human greed and militia's exploitation. The amount of money being made from coltan production is staggering but at what cost? 200 lives lost, innocent people whose fate was sealed by the actions of armed groups 🤕. It's a stark reminder that these conflicts have no winners, only losers - the local population who bear the brunt of violence and displacement 💔. The international community needs to take this seriously and put pressure on those responsible to make things right 👊. We need to hold these militia groups accountable for their actions and provide support to those affected by the disaster 🌟. It's time to think about the value of human life over profit margins 💸

It's heartbreaking to think about 200 lives lost due to a landslide caused by the exploitation of natural resources by militia groups 🤕💔. It really makes you wonder, what happens when greed takes over and people lose sight of their humanity? The M23 group is making huge profits from this mine, but at what cost? They're not just taking resources away from the local population, they're also putting innocent lives in danger 💸🚧.

It's a harsh lesson to learn that the pursuit of wealth can be devastating if it's done without considering the consequences. The international community needs to wake up and take responsibility for these tragic incidents 🌎👀. We need to support those affected by these conflicts, not just with financial aid but also with awareness and advocacy 💪🏼.

The more we learn about this disaster, the more it highlights the importance of treating others with dignity and respect 👫💕. Let's hope that from now on, we'll prioritize people over profits and work towards a more equitable future 🌈💖.

Ugh, can't these militias just leave the poor people alone? 🤦‍♂️ I mean, 200 lives lost over some coltan and $$ is just outrageous. And let's be real, $7 a kilogram for tax on minerals is like, what even? That's not exploitation, that's straight-up robbery 💸.

I'm all for the international community to take note and kick some militia butt, but can we please get some reliable info first? It's hard enough getting updates from Kinshasa without having to sift through sparse reports 📰. The power outage in the area just makes it worse... what even is going on over there, right? 😩

man... this is just so heartbreaking 🤕 a tragedy like this happening in the DRC is just so sad 200 people are dead what's even worse is that it was preventable if only the local authorities and international community had taken action sooner... I mean, we all know how corrupt some of these militias are but come on... exploiting a mine for profit while people's lives are at risk? 😡 the power outage in the area just makes it harder to get information out there which means even more lives lost... coltan, seven dollars per kilogram, does anyone care about the cost? 🤑
