I'm a bit skeptical about this whole "on the rise" thing... yeah, crime stats are down, but SoMa and Mission Bay are still dealing with some serious issues 
. And let's not forget that median rent price is wild 
. 227% higher than national average? That's just gonna push more people outta their homes. 
But I do like the sound of that free/subsidized childcare and dual-enrollment program for high school students
. Those are some solid moves to try and level the playing field. And combining departments to streamline permitting is a good idea too 
.However, can we talk about the budget deficit for a sec?
That's just gonna be a major headache if federal funding gets cut 
. The mayor needs to come up with a more solid plan than just "reclaiming greatness" 
. Progress and optimism are great, but so is being realistic about what's achievable 
.Overall, I'm cautiously optimistic
, but we'll see how it all plays out over the next few years
