idk why everyone's making such a big deal about this, parks r already super popular rn i mean, people come together there, yeah, but they also just wanna chill & watch the snow fall what's the big diff if it's more affordable now? it's still free to go there, right? plus, 1% of the budget seems like a drop in the bucket compared to all the other things the city needs $$
I think it's dope that Mayor Mamdani is putting in effort to make NYC parks more livable & affordable . I mean, we all know how hard it can be to find safe spots for our kiddos to chill out and learn, so this new direction is a major win . Tricia Shimamura's got the experience and passion to make it happen – she's already been making waves in her roles at Columbia Uni . 1% of the budget might not seem like a lot, but it's a start! I'm hyped to see how this new era unfolds and what innovative community spaces we'll get to enjoy .
I just got back from the most amazing hike in the Adirondacks over the weekend . The fall foliage was insane! I swear, it reminded me of my favorite spot in Central Park when I was a kid. Anyway, back to this parks thing... I love how they're making an effort to get affordable spaces for kids. My niece is always asking to go swimming or play at the park, but we can never afford it. This feels like a great step forward . Oh, and has anyone else noticed that pineapple pizza is so overrated?
ugh i dont know how anyone can be so optimistic about this mamdani is trying to turn nyc into some kinda utopia but honestly its just gonna cost us more money... parks are already overpopulated and underfunded how are we gonna afford this ? also what's with all the new terminology - "vibrant community hubs" instead of just saying they want better parks
