Megan Thee Stallion Shares Hilarious Story of Getting Mistaken for Jennifer Hudson in Italy
During a recent appearance on 'The Jennifer Hudson Show', rapper Megan Thee Stallion revealed that she was mistaken for Jennifer Hudson, her fellow celebrity and friend, while attending Dolce & Gabbana's Alta Moda show in Venice, Italy back in 2021.
According to Megan, her security team got her mixed up with Jennifer's, resulting in a series of awkward encounters. "Jennifer's security kept snatchin' me up!" Megan recalled. "They were like, 'C'mon, we gotta move, we gotta move.' I was like, 'I'm not with you! It's not me, I promise!' But I'll go with you if you really want me to." Megan joked that Jennifer's security team must have been quite enthusiastic in their pursuit of her.
Megan admitted she wondered where her own security guards were at the time. "Your security kept snatchin' me up, and I was like, 'Where is my security?' Maybe they were getting you, I don't know," she added with a chuckle. However, Jennifer's security team seemed to have been under the impression that Megan was actually her.
The situation took a humorous turn when Hudson shared a similar experience of being mistaken for Megan Thee Stallion during an NFL Super Bowl game. When Jennifer's security team approached her, they shouted "Megan!" in unison. Jennifer played along, saying she would happily take Megan's place if the two were to swap places for a day.
When asked by Hudson how she would get up to Megan's knees, given their distinct leg physiques, Megan explained that while she was aware of the difference, her thighs didn't work as well in Megan's style. The lighthearted conversation only added to the comedic tone of their encounter.
Just last week, Megan released her latest single "Lover Girl", marking her second release this year after "Whenever".
