Mike Tyson pushes for safe, legal cannabis in Pennsylvania

Former boxing champion Mike Tyson is taking his crusade to legalize cannabis in Pennsylvania to the state Capitol, pushing for safe and regulated recreational use of the substance. The boxer, known as "the baddest man on the planet," has built a brand around his advocacy for cannabis, with Tyson 2.0 becoming one of the most recognizable names in the industry.

Tyson's visit to Harrisburg comes as Governor Josh Shapiro has repeatedly called for legislation to legalize and tax recreational cannabis, citing potential revenue of over $500 million. However, lawmakers have been divided on the issue, with some proposing a state store model that would give the Liquor Control Board control over sales.

Instead, Senator Dan Laughlin's bill aims to establish a state Cannabis Control Board, which would regulate the industry and create uniform safety standards for untested products like Delta 8. Tyson's company has already begun selling these products, with Ryan Burke stating that they prioritize responsible production and sale.

The boxing legend himself credits cannabis with changing his life, helping him kick his cocaine and alcohol addiction after serving time for rape in 1992. "I'm looking at me as if I'm the product of cannabis," Tyson said, highlighting the substance's potential to transform lives.

Tyson's message of accountability and legitimacy resonated with lawmakers, who met with the boxer during his visit. However, it remains to be seen how this push will play out in the state legislature. As Laughlin noted, "This bill is not about legalizing adult-use cannabis โ€“ it's about cleaning up the system we already have in place." The future of cannabis in Pennsylvania hangs in the balance, with Tyson 2.0 poised to play a significant role in shaping the industry's safety and regulatory standards.

man i think its about time pennsylvania caught up with the rest of the country ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š especially with governor shapiro pushing for it hard. its crazy how much money is on the line tho $500 million is a lot ๐Ÿ’ธ but i guess the state can use it to fix some of their other issues. anyway, i love that mike tyson is using his platform to spread awareness about cannabis ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™‚๏ธ his story is so inspiring and its clear he really cares about this stuff. fingers crossed for lawmakers to get on board and make this happen soon ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ

man, this is so cool ๐Ÿคฏ! i love how tyson 2.0 has built this entire brand around his advocacy for cannabis it's like he's speaking straight to my soul lol what really gets me though is how lawmakers are getting on board with the idea of regulation ๐Ÿค i mean we've all heard horror stories about untested products, and delta 8 is like whoa... anyways i'm rooting for tyson's crew here ๐Ÿ‘ i just wanna see some real change happen in pennsylvania, you know? maybe they can even set an example for the rest of the country ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

omg I cant even believe Mike Tyson is taking his crusade for cannabis legalization to PA state capitol ๐Ÿคฏ! he's got such a strong message about how it changed his life after rehab ๐Ÿ™. like, i totally get why lawmakers would wanna regulate the industry now that there's so many sketchy products out there ๐Ÿ’Š delta 8 and all that jazz... but at the same time, its kinda cool to see someone with Tyson's influence pushing for change ๐Ÿ˜Ž. I'm curious to see how this all plays out in the state legislature tho ๐Ÿค”... will they get it done? ๐Ÿคž

OMG u guyz ๐Ÿคฏ I cant beleev Mike Tyson is takin this crusade to legalize cannabis 4 real now!!! ๐ŸŒฟ He was suppost 2 b known as "the baddest man on planet" but now he's "the baddest advocate for cannabis" LOL ๐Ÿ˜‚. Anyways, i think its a dope idea 4 pennsylvania 2 get in on the cannabis game - $500 million is def a lotta dough ๐Ÿ’ธ! Its gonna be intresting 2 c how this playz out in the state legislature tho ๐Ÿค”. I mean senator Laughlin's bill sounds pretty legit, but we shud keep an eye on it 2 make sure its not just 4 big corps 2 profit off of ๐Ÿค‘. Anyways, lets root 4 Mike Tyson & cannabis legalization - let's do this!!! ๐ŸŽ‰

I'm still not convinced that cannabis legalization is a good idea ๐Ÿค”. I mean, think about it - we're talking about a substance that can have serious effects on mental health and addiction rates. And now Mike Tyson's getting into the game with his "Tyson 2.0" brand? It just seems like another way for people to get hooked on something they shouldn't be using in the first place ๐Ÿ’Š.

And don't even get me started on the Delta 8 stuff ๐Ÿคฏ. I mean, what's the deal with that? Isn't it still basically THC? And are these companies really doing the necessary safety checks to ensure their products aren't harming people? It just seems like a money-grab to me ๐Ÿ’ธ.

I'm all for responsible innovation and trying new things, but this feels like a rush to legalization without putting in enough safeguards. We need to be careful here, folks ๐Ÿ™.

I'm loving this ๐Ÿคฉ, Mike Tyson is like a superhero for cannabis! He's been thru hell and back, and now he's all about spreading awareness and promoting responsible use. I mean, the dude has been to prison, fought some of the toughest opponents in boxing, and still managed to come out on top - talk about resilience ๐Ÿ’ช. His whole thing is about holding people accountable and making sure cannabis is sold safely. Plus, it's awesome that he's got a company behind him that's prioritizing quality control ๐Ÿ›๏ธ. I'm all for giving Pennsylvanians the chance to try this stuff in a safe and regulated environment - let's get on board with Tyson 2.0 ๐Ÿ‘Š!

I'm low-key kinda on the other side here... I think we should focus more on educating people about cannabis rather than just legalizing it for recreational use. Like, don't get me wrong, Mike Tyson's story is inspiring and all, but what about the risks associated with substance abuse? We need to make sure we're prioritizing public health over just making a quick buck. ๐Ÿค” And can we talk about how some of these "cannabis control boards" are basically just corporate fronts? It's like they want to cash in on the industry without actually ensuring anyone's safety. Just saying... ๐Ÿšซ

๐Ÿค” just saw mike tyson at the state capitol advocating for legalizing cannabis in pennsylvania... he really came a long way from being the baddest man on the planet ๐ŸฅŠ๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™‚๏ธ his story is so inspiring, he went from struggling with addiction to using cannabis to overcome it. now he's all about pushing for safe and regulated use of the substance ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ‘ i'm not sure how lawmakers will feel about this but maybe having someone like tyson on their side will make a difference ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿค” So now Mike Tyson is trying to make a name for himself in the politix scene? ๐Ÿค‘ He's like the ultimate opportunist, using his fame to push for cannabis legalization. But let's be real, Josh Shapiro's been on this bandwagon for years and nobody's taken action yet... what's so special about Tyson 2.0? ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™‚๏ธ It just seems like another lobbyist trying to make a buck off the system ๐Ÿค‘.

And what's with the state vs state store model? ๐Ÿค” It's all about who gets to control the cash flow - the Liquor Control Board or the new Cannabis Control Board? ๐Ÿค‘ It's like they're playing politics with our freedom... I mean, recreational use of cannabis. Come on, Pennsyltucky! Make a decision already! โฐ

It's also interesting that Tyson credits cannabis for his sobriety - now he's trying to profit off it? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ It raises questions about accountability and where the line is between advocacy and profiteering. Is this just another example of how money can buy influence in politics? ๐Ÿ’ธ

๐Ÿค” so like I was thinkin' 'bout this whole cannabis thing... it's kinda wild how one man can make such an impact ๐Ÿš€. I mean Mike Tyson is like a legend and all, but he's not just pushin' for legalization for the sake of it ๐Ÿ’ธ. He's comin' from a real place, like he's seen the benefits firsthand, you feel me?

So here's what I drew ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ
```
+---------------+
| Cannabis |
| Tyson 2.0|
it's like he's tryin' to clean up the mess, you know? And lawmakers are listenin', so that's a good sign ๐Ÿค. But it's not gonna be easy, cuz there's still some division goin' on ๐Ÿ’”.
anyway, I think this whole thing is interesting... it'll be cool to see how it all plays out ๐Ÿ”ฎ
omg i'm so down for mike tyson's crusade lol he literally changed his life with cannabis and now he wants to help others do the same ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š i think it's about time pennsylvania legalizes recreational use, like $500 million in revenue is a big deal ๐Ÿ’ธ anyway, i love how tyson 2.0 is prioritizing responsible production and sale, that's so important for the industry to grow safely ๐Ÿ™ let's hope lawmakers listen to him and create uniform safety standards ๐Ÿคž
I'm low-key excited about Mike Tyson's push for PA to legalize cannabis ๐Ÿคฏ๐ŸŒฟ It's crazy how he's built a brand around it and now his products are already on sale ๐Ÿ’ธ. I think it's dope that he's trying to bring accountability and legitimize the industry, especially with all the sketchy stuff out there ๐Ÿ”.
I also love how Governor Shapiro is hyping up the potential revenue ๐Ÿค‘ $500 million is no joke! But at the same time, you gotta consider the safety aspects and make sure we're not just rushing into this without a plan ๐Ÿค”. Fingers crossed that Tyson's efforts will help create some positive change in PA ๐Ÿ’ช.
๐Ÿค” I'm loving Mike Tyson's dedication to this cause! He's like, totally passionate about it ๐Ÿ™Œ, and his personal story is so inspiring ๐Ÿ’ช. I mean, who wouldn't want to help people kick their addictions and live healthier lives? ๐ŸŒฑ It's not just about cannabis for him, it's about creating a better system ๐Ÿ”„.
I'm curious to see how this bill will play out in the legislature โš–๏ธ. Some lawmakers might be skeptical at first ๐Ÿค”, but if Tyson 2.0 can bring his A-game and show them the benefits of regulation ๐Ÿ”’, I think they'll come around ๐Ÿ’ฏ. And let's be real, the numbers don't lie โ€“ $500 million in revenue is a pretty compelling argument ๐Ÿ’ธ.
One thing that might make me a bit nervous ๐Ÿ˜ฌ is Delta 8 products ๐Ÿค”. We know they can be super potent and unpredictable ๐Ÿ”ช. But if Tyson 2.0 is prioritizing responsible production and sale, I think we'll be okay ๐Ÿ‘. Fingers crossed! ๐Ÿคž
I'm so glad Mike Tyson is taking his crusade to legalize cannabis in PA ๐Ÿ™Œ! It's about time we get to a safer and more regulated system for this amazing substance ๐Ÿ˜Š. I've heard from friends who have benefited from it and it's clear that it can be life-changing, just like Mike said ๐Ÿ’•. The fact that Tyson is pushing for accountability and legitimacy is music to my ears ๐ŸŽต, especially since he's been through some tough times himself. Let's hope the lawmakers take notice and work together to make this happen ๐Ÿคž!
omg u guys! ๐Ÿคฏ i'm lowkey super excited about mike tyson's crusade for cannabis legalization in pennsylvania ๐Ÿ˜‚ like we all know he's been open about his addiction struggles and how cannabis helped him get back on track ๐Ÿ’ช it's awesome to see him using his platform to make a positive impact. I think senator laughlin's bill is a good starting point, but i also wish they would explore more options for regulating the industry ๐Ÿค” what do u guys think? should pennsylvania go with a state store model or create their own cannabis control board ๐Ÿค‘
