Minneapolis ICE shooting live updates: New video shows different vantage point

Minneapolis ICE Shooting: Local Attorneys Demand Access to Evidence, Citing FBI-Exclusive Investigation.

The deadly shooting of Renee Good by a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent on January 7th has left local attorneys feeling shut out of the investigation. Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty expressed concern that state investigators will not have access to federal evidence, including Good's car, which was shot during the incident.

According to Moriarty, the FBI currently holds this evidence, and her office is "really none" in terms of accessing it. As a result, they are now urging the public to come forward with any information or evidence that may be relevant to the case. A website has been set up where people can submit their findings.

Meanwhile, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison stated that his office is collaborating with the state's attorney general's office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to gather and review all available evidence. However, he warned that it would be impossible to reach a conclusion in good faith due to the sheer volume of remaining evidence.

The local attorneys' concerns have led them to question why the investigation is being conducted exclusively by federal authorities without any state involvement. As Moriarty noted, "We want to make sure [the evidence] gets gathered and collected, and we'll deal with those other matters of joint versus exclusive later."

this whole thing just feels super shady ๐Ÿค”... like what's the point of having a state investigation if they're not even gonna have access to all the evidence? it's like, shouldn't they at least get to review the car that was shot or whatever? and meanwhile, the FBI is holding onto everything like it's their personal safe ๐Ÿ˜’... why can't they just share it with the state people who actually care about getting justice for Renee Good? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

๐Ÿ™„ so an ICE agent just happens to shoot a woman in the car and suddenly everyone's all like "oh, but I'm a lawyer, I need access to the evidence"... how convenient. Meanwhile, Ellison is over here saying there's too much evidence for them to even bother trying? ๐Ÿค” sounds like a classic case of not wanting anyone else getting in on their exclusive FBI party...

I'm kinda thinkin' that this whole thing is bein' handled the wrong way from the start ๐Ÿค”. I mean, shouldn't local attorneys have access to all the evidence in a case like this? It's their job to make sure justice is served in the state, not just some federal agency. By keepin' it all under FBI control, we're basically sayin' that the state isn't trustin' its own investigators to get the job done ๐Ÿšซ. And what about all the evidence that might be hidin' in plain sight? If people are already comin' forward with info, shouldn't that count for somethin'? It just feels like we're lettin' a federal agency dictate how justice is served here.

omg this is so unfair ๐Ÿคฏ! i cant believe the hennepin county atty has to beg for access to evidence from the fbi - doesnt it seem weird that federal agents are handling a state investigation? ๐Ÿ˜’ they should definitely have some local involvement, thats just basic justice ๐Ÿ’” i mean what if there was somethin they missed or didnt want to share? ๐Ÿค” let's hope the mn ag office can make a change in this ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿค” this whole thing is really shady how the feds are handling it, keeping all that evidence for themselves what if they're hiding something? ๐Ÿšซ meanwhile these local attorneys are left in the dark, literally ๐Ÿ“ they need to have a say in this investigation too not just rely on the public to come forward with whatever scraps they can find. and another thing, isn't it weird that the state's AG is saying it'll be impossible to reach a conclusion without the feds? sounds like they're trying to sweep something under the rug ๐Ÿšฎ gotta keep an eye on this one

omg what's going on here?? i mean i get it, feds gotta do their thing but can't they just share the deets with local investigators? it's like, don't they know that state AGs have to keep up with the Feds? ๐Ÿคฏ and what's with all this secrecy around Renee Good's car? shouldn't they at least give the state a peek?

i'm low-key worried about how this whole thing is gonna play out... i mean, 1,000 pages of evidence? ugh my head hurts just thinking about it! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ anyway, hope they get to the bottom of it soon ๐Ÿ’”

๐Ÿค” this is super weird, like can't a city's DA just do their own thing? or at least have some level of access to that federal evidence... feels like they're being left out on purpose ๐Ÿ™„. i mean, renรฉe good's family deserves answers & justice too, regardless of who's doing the investigating ๐Ÿค—. it's not like the fbi is gonna share all their secrets for free ๐Ÿ˜‚. why can't keith ellison just get some state help or something? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

I feel for these local attorneys, their concern about being left out of the investigation is totally valid ๐Ÿค”. It's like, if you're gonna have a community meeting, why not invite everyone involved? This whole thing makes me think about how important transparency is in situations like this. I mean, we all want answers, but when one group has access to evidence that others don't, it can feel like the game's rigged ๐Ÿšซ. Maybe we should be asking ourselves why this investigation needs to be done solely by federal authorities? Is it really necessary for them to have exclusive control over the evidence? It just seems like they're trying to keep everyone in the dark...

I feel really bad about what happened to Renee Good ๐Ÿ˜”. I think it's weird that the FBI has all the evidence, like her car... it just doesn't seem right that they're keeping it from us. Like, we need to know what happened too, you know? ๐Ÿค” Local attorneys are trying to help by asking people to come forward with any info they might have. It's a good thing Minnesota AG Keith Ellison is working with his team and the police to gather evidence - at least that way we'll get some answers ๐Ÿ’ก

๐Ÿค” this whole thing got me thinking, what happens when the people in power hold too much control? it's like, shouldn't everyone have a say in how justice is served? it's like Renee Good's car became a symbol of everything that's wrong with our system. i mean, if we can't trust the authorities to do their job fairly and transparently, then what's the point of even having an investigation? ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿ’”

๐Ÿค” this whole thing just feels so fishy... like they're trying to cover something up. I mean, the fact that local attorneys can't even get their hands on the evidence is pretty suspicious. And now they're relying on the public to come forward with info? it's like they're not taking this seriously enough.

and what's with the FBI holding all the cards? shouldn't there be some kind of coordination between federal and state authorities? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ I'm sure there are a lot of people in Minnesota who want answers about what really happened to Renee Good. This whole exclusive investigation thing just seems like a recipe for disaster. ๐Ÿšจ
