.It's also making me think about how we talk about immigration in this country. It feels like we're always debating the 'what ifs' - do we deport people for minor infractions? How do we handle those with no record of wrongdoing? The conversation needs to be more nuanced, more compassionate...we need to find a way to balance security with humanity
