Miss Mexico, who sparked a walkout after host's bullying, is crowned Miss Universe

Miss Universe controversy sparked by host's bullying continues as winner Fátima Bosch Fernández stands tall.

Fátima, 25, from Mexico made history at the 74th Miss Universe pageant by being crowned despite sparking a walkout after being publicly chided by the event's co-owner. The drama unfolded when Nawat Itsaragrisil, Thailand's national director, berated Fátima for not participating in promotional activities during a sashing ceremony.

When Fátima refused to be silenced and walked out of the stage with several other contestants, including last year's winner Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark, it sparked public outcry. Mexican businessman Raúl Rocha Cantú called out Nawat, saying he won't let contestants be "humiliated."

Later, Nawat offered a teary apology to the affected parties, stating that if anyone was uncomfortable with what happened, he was sorry.

Two judges also resigned from the competition - Omar Harfouch and Claude Makélélé. Harfouch cited emotional trauma and reputational damage following his decision to step down from the jury panel, citing a "secret vote" by people not officially part of the jury that preselected the top 130 contestants out of 136.

Meanwhile, Garbielle Henry of Jamaica is recovering at a hospital after she fell offstage on Wednesday during a preliminary round.

Ugh, I just can't even... 😩 The whole thing with Fátima Bosch Fernández is just so messed up 🤯. Like, what's wrong with Nawat Itsaragrisil? Can't he just be civil? 🙄 The way he went after her like that was totally unacceptable 💁‍♀️. And to make matters worse, those two judges who resigned... I feel for them, dude 😔. Harfouch's whole thing about the "secret vote" sounds super shady 🤐.

And poor Garbielle Henry 🤕! Falling offstage is just crazy 🚨. But you know what's even crazier? The whole situation unfolding on live TV 💥. I mean, can't they just have a decent pageant for once without all the drama and controversy? 🙄 It's like, can't we just celebrate these women and their beauty and talents without all the backstabbing and bullying? 🤷‍♀️ Ugh, just so frustrating 🎉😒

omg i dont get why Nawat did what he did 🤯... Fátima was just standing up for herself and now ppl are making her out to be some kinda villain? also, sorry to hear that Garbielle is okay after the fall 😭... but like, didnt they have security on stage or something? 🤔 i dont get how 2 judges resigned over a "secret vote" 🤷‍♀️ what even is that? didnt they just do their job and stuff? 🤦‍♂️

I'm so glad Fátima stood up for herself 🙌, but honestly, I feel bad for Nawat too - he seems really remorseful 😔 and his apology does make sense. It's not like he meant to hurt anyone's feelings... maybe the drama was just a huge misunderstanding? Anyway, it's all good that Fátima won with her confidence and spirit 💁‍♀️, she totally deserves it! But can we talk about Garbielle's fall offstage tho? 😱 is she gonna be okay?!

omg, can u believe what's going down at the Miss Universe pageant 🤯! nawat itsaragrisil needs to teach himself some boundaries ASAP, bullying contestants on stage is NOT okay 😡 and now 2 judges have resigned over it? that's like, totally extreme 💥 i mean, i get why they'd want to step down but emotional trauma & reputational damage? come on, u can't just walk away from a platform like that 🙅‍♀️

and poor garbielle henry! hope she's okay after that fall 😕 and what about fátima bosch fernández? she stood up for herself and won the whole thing 💁‍♀️ love her for that! but still, it's crazy how one person can ruin an event like this 🤔

omg u no wat happened @ Miss Universe?? 😂 Nawat Itsaragrisil was literally ROYALLY bullied by Fátima Bosch Fernández & now he's crying in public 🤣! like, who does that? ok so yeah fátima stood up 4 herself & refused to get roasted but i feel bad 4 the judges who had 2 resign cuz of Nawat's drama 🤕. Garbielle Henry is out sick tho 💔. on a more serious note i think its awesome tht fátima got crowned despite all that drama 💁‍♀️💖

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole Miss Universe drama 🤯. I mean, Fátima won the crown and she's been standing tall, which is awesome, but what really got me was Nawat's reaction 🙄. I get that contestants are expected to promote the pageant, but bullying? That's a no-go in my book 😒. And it's not just Nawat - two judges quitting because of 'secret votes'? That's some shady stuff 💔. On one hand, I'm all for calling out bad behavior, but on the other hand, I wish everyone involved could have handled it with more class 🤷‍♀️. Fátima's win is a great example that women can be strong and confident without being torn down by others 👏.

🤷‍♀️ I'm loving Fátima Bosch Fernández's confidence and strength in speaking up against Nawat Itsaragrisil's bullying. It takes a big person to stand tall, especially when they're already under pressure. But can we talk about how this whole thing highlights the industry's lack of accountability? Like, where were the other judges and organizers when Nawat was being super rude and condescending? 🤔 It's not all Fátima's fault that she didn't participate in those promotional activities... it's on the people who created a culture of fear and intimidation. Kudos to Raúl Rocha Cantú for calling out Nawat, though! 💯 And poor Garbielle Henry 🤕, getting hurt during a preliminary round is just too much. At least she's receiving the help she needs. Overall, it's been an interesting pageant, but I'm just glad Fátima got to be herself and slay the stage despite all that drama 💃🏻

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the whole Fátima Bosch Fernández situation 🤯. It's crazy that Nawat Itsaragrisil's behavior towards her sparked such drama, especially when he basically bullied her in front of millions of viewers. I mean, what's the point of having a competition if you're just gonna rip contestants apart? 💔

And can we talk about how Fátima handled it for once? I know some people were shocked she walked out, but honestly, it was kind of refreshing to see someone stand up for themselves like that. I mean, if Nawat's words are gonna be hurtful and make you feel belittled, then maybe don't use them in front of an audience 🙄.

It's also interesting that two judges just quit because of what went down - yeah, emotional trauma is real, but so is accountability 🤷‍♂️. And poor Garbielle Henry, falling offstage? That's just heartbreaking 😩. Anyway, I'm still trying to process the whole thing... Fátima seems like a strong person, and I'm rooting for her 💪.

ugh this whole thing is wild 🤯 - Fátima was supposed to be the winner but now Nawat's apology just comes across as insincere 💔 like what's the point of apologizing if you're not actually gonna make things right? 😒 and those judges quitting over some secret vote? what a cop-out 🙄 at least Garbielle is okay I hope she's alright, that could've been super bad 😩

I'm still shaking my head over this whole Miss Universe thing 🤯. I mean, come on, who does that? Nawat Itsaragrisil's behavior was completely unacceptable - bullying contestants on live TV is never okay 😡. But what really gets me is that the other two judges just up and quit without even explaining themselves 🙄.

On the bright side, Fátima Bosch Fernández, the winner, stood her ground and didn't let anyone bring her down 💪. She's an inspiration to all those who've ever felt belittled or bullied - keep being you, girl! And I'm so glad Raúl Rocha Cantú spoke out against Nawat's behavior - someone needs to hold people in power accountable for their actions 🤝.

Anyway, let's just hope the other contestants can move on from this and focus on what really matters: supporting each other and having a good time 💕. And Garbielle Henry, get well soon! 🌟

omg cant believe what happened to fátima 🤯 i mean i get it niat's job is to make sure everything runs smoothly but nawat went way too far lol, and those judges whores quitting over some drama? poor victoria & garbielle too u feelin me? but gotta give it up 2 fátima she stood tall & didnt let them get her down 🙌

omg, I'm shocked this guy Nawat Itsaragrisil still gets to apologize for being such a jerk 🙄... like, sorry not sorry, right? 😂 Fátima Bosch Fernández is literally the queen of queens and she's not having it 💁‍♀️. And can we talk about how many people had to quit because of this dude's behavior? It's like, Nawat needs a refresher on what "co-owner" means... get in line, buddy 🚗. Meanwhile, I'm rooting for Fátima and her fellow contestants - they slayed that stage despite all the drama 💃🏽!

🤕 It's amazing how one person can cause so much ruckus and yet still manage to stand tall like a phoenix from the ashes 🌟! I mean, Fátima Bosch Fernández didn't let Nawat's bullying get her down, she just walked away and stood up for herself. That takes a lot of courage 💪! And it's not like she was wrong in doing so, Nawat was the one who was all out of line 🤦‍♂️. Sometimes you gotta draw a line and say "enough is enough" and Fátima did just that 💥!

Ugh 🤦‍♀️ I'm still getting chills thinking about what happened on stage... like, come on Nawat 😡! You're supposed to be hosting the Miss Universe pageant not bullying contestants?! Fátima stood up for herself and walked out, and I'm so proud of her 💁‍♀️! It's unacceptable that people have the power to humiliate others just because they don't want to do what's asked of them. And poor Garbielle 🤕, I hope she's okay after falling offstage... safety first, right? 🙏

I gotta say, this whole drama with Fátima and Nawat's outburst has got me thinking... We all want to be treated with respect, especially when we're representing our countries or ourselves. But sometimes it takes a little courage to stand up for what's right, even if it means walking away from something that doesn't feel right. 🤔 It's easy to be the judge and not the jury, but Fátima showed us all that we can't let anyone push us around! 💁‍♀️ Also, I think this situation highlights how powerful our voices are when we speak up against injustice. It may take some people by surprise, but it's always better to have your integrity intact than to keep quiet and regret it later... 💖

OMG 😱 I'm still reeling from this whole drama! Fátima Bosch Fernández is literally a queen for standing up for herself despite being bullied by Nawat Itsaragrisil 🙅‍♂️ Like, what even is the point of participating in that sashing ceremony if you're just gonna be roasted? 🤦‍♀️ I don't think it's too much to ask from the organizers to treat contestants with some respect and kindness. And can we talk about how Nawat's apology was super cringeworthy? 😂 "Sorry, not sorry" is definitely not the way to do it, dude! On a more serious note, I'm really glad that there are people like Raúl Rocha Cantú speaking out against bullying and harassment. It's time for those in power to take responsibility for their actions 💁‍♀️

Ugh I'm so done with these pageant dramas 🤯. First off, Nawat Itsaragrisil needs to apologize properly, not just some half-hearted tears and words that don't even match the severity of what happened. And what's with all the judges quitting? Omar Harfouch seems like a total victim here... maybe he was already stressed or whatever 🤷‍♂️ but stepping down over people's comfort levels? That's not how it works 🙄. Fátima Bosch Fernández, on the other hand, is totally giving me life - standing up for herself and walking out of that toxic situation 💁‍♀️👏. Can we just have some dignity and respect in pageants instead of all this drama?

🤯 This whole thing has me shook! Like, I get it, Nawat was trying to whip up some drama and whatnot, but bullying contestants who can't even speak up for themselves? No bueno 😒. The fact that the other judges just got out of there after hearing his side is wild, though. Did he not realize how toxic his behavior would be seen as? And now Garbielle's okay but still recovering from her fall... I hope she gets a good payout from the organizers for that 🤕.

I'm glad Fátima stood up for herself and walked out - it takes courage to do that, especially in front of all those people. And yeah, Mexican businessman Raúl Rocha Cantú basically called out Nawat for being an arsehole 🙄. The apology from Nawat is... meh? Sorry, not sorry vibes coming through loud and clear 🤷‍♀️.

The whole thing's left a bad taste in my mouth, but at least some people are holding it accountable 💯. We should be celebrating Fátima for being an amazing Miss Universe winner who didn't let someone else bring her down 💖!
