More than 300 anti-ICE protests planned across US this weekend

More Than 300 Anti-ICE Protests Planned Nationwide This Weekend

A nationwide wave of demonstrations against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is set to take place across the US this weekend, with over 300 events planned in all 50 states and Washington D.C. The protests, dubbed "ICE Out of Everywhere," are a response to a series of recent deaths involving federal immigration agents.

According to organizers, the killings have revealed a broader pattern of excessive force, detention abuses, and the militarization of immigration enforcement. "The national day of action is about fighting back against the escalations that the Trump administration has taken against the American people over the past year," said Hunter Dunn, a national press coordinator for 50501.

Demonstrators plan to take various forms of action, including vigils for those killed and detained by ICE, overpass banner actions, sidewalk protests, marches, community training sessions, and airport protests targeting airlines involved in federal deportations. Protests are also planned outside ICE detention centers, field offices, congressional district offices, and major corporations believed to be supporting ICE operations.

The demonstrations build on weeks of nationwide protests following the fatal shooting of Renee Good by an off-duty ICE officer in Minneapolis. The killings have sparked widespread outrage, with activists calling for lawmakers to block funding for the Department of Homeland Security until ICE agents are removed from communities.

Organizers are also applying economic pressure, urging people to boycott hotels that provide lodging to immigration enforcement authorities and refusing service to federal immigration agents at local establishments. Protests are taking place outside major corporations, including Target and Home Depot, which have faced criticism for their ties to ICE operations.

While organizers acknowledge progress in building momentum against ICE, they say demands for accountability and action remain unanswered. "We need more people to continue to show up until ICE leaves," said Janae Bates Imari, co-executive director of the Minneapolis interfaith organizing group Isaiah.

As the protests take place nationwide, activists are emphasizing the need for collective action and solidarity in the face of what they see as a hostile federal government. With over 300 events planned this weekend, the demonstrations promise to be a powerful display of resistance against ICE and its operations.

OMG, can you believe it? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ There's gonna be so many protests this weekend! Like, over 300 events are happening all over the US ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ”ฅ. It's all about fighting back against those who think they're above the law ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I mean, excessive force and detention abuses are no joke ๐Ÿ’”.

I'm all for taking a stand against injustice, but it's crazy how some people get away with stuff ๐Ÿ˜ค. The fact that there's gonna be vigils, overpass banner actions, and even airport protests ๐Ÿ›ซ๏ธ is just amazing! I love how activists are using economic pressure too, like boycotting hotels that support ICE ๐Ÿ“ฆ.

It's so inspiring to see all these people coming together for a common cause ๐Ÿ’•. And Janae Bates Imari said it perfectly - we need more people to show up until ICE leaves ๐Ÿšซ. It's time for some serious change! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

ICE Out of Everywhere ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’ฅ - can't believe they're planning to protest outside hotels that host ICE agents ๐Ÿจ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ, boycotts are a great way to put economic pressure on companies that support ICE ops ๐Ÿ’ธ. We should be pushing for more than just a national day of action, we need real change ๐Ÿ’ช. It's time to make America serve the people, not just the powerful and wealthy ๐Ÿค.

I don't think we should be demonizing certain individuals working with ICE, like the off-duty officer who shot Renee Good ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Maybe he didn't have all the training or support to handle that situation properly. We gotta consider both sides of the story here. I'm not saying what happened was okay, but we shouldn't be quick to judge people without hearing their side of things first ๐Ÿ’ก. It's like, we can't just label someone as a "bad guy" and expect everything to magically get solved ๐Ÿค”. The system is more complex than that. We need to have empathy and understanding for people who might not even know they're contributing to the problem ๐Ÿค—.

๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’” omg ppl r really taking a stand against ice this wknd!!! ๐Ÿคฏ i'm hyped to see so many protests happenin across the country. it's about time someone called out the injustices in our immigration system. i mean, 300+ events planned? that's massive! ๐Ÿ’ฅ it's not just about the killings, it's about the excessive force and detention abuses too. we need more ppl to speak up and demand change. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ let's see some real action from lawmakers and corporations who are profiting off ice operations. boycotts, airport protests, community training sessions... the list goes on! ๐Ÿ’ช this is what resistance looks like, and i am HERE. FOR. IT!!! ๐ŸŽ‰

can we all just calm down for a sec? ๐Ÿค— i'm not saying im for or against ice, but like, can't we talk about this without it getting super heated? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ there are people on both sides of the issue and let's try to listen to each other's perspectives. i get that Renee Good's death is a huge deal and some ppl r really upset about it... and yeah, the lack of accountability for ICE agents is super concerning ๐Ÿค• but at the same time, some ppl r worried about the impact on immigrant communities ๐Ÿ’” so let's try to have this convo with empathy & understanding ๐Ÿ’–

๐Ÿค” This is getting outta hand... I mean, I get why people are upset about all these ICE-related deaths and whatnot, but 300+ protests across the country? That's just crazy talk ๐Ÿšจ. Can we have some sources on how exactly these events are being organized and funded? Just seems like a bunch of people hopping on whatever cause is trending right now without really thinking it through ๐Ÿ’ญ. And what's with all the economic pressure? Boycotting hotels and refusing service to ICE agents at local establishments? That just sounds like a PR stunt ๐Ÿ“ฃ. Can we get some concrete evidence that these protests are actually going to lead to real change or just more noise ๐Ÿ’”.

man I'm all over the place about these protests ๐Ÿค”... on one hand you gotta respect people's frustration with ICE and the way they're treating immigrants like that's just not right ๐Ÿ˜“. it's like we're living in some dystopian movie where the government's more worried about deporting people than protecting their own citizens ๐Ÿšซ.

but at the same time I'm also thinking about how these protests might be met with more violence and repression from the authorities... I mean, we've seen what happens when cops get triggered ๐Ÿ˜จ. it's like they're trying to turn these peaceful protesters into martyrs or something ๐Ÿ’€.

anyway, I do think it's cool that people are organizing and standing up for what they believe in... but we need to make sure that our message isn't just about blaming the government, we gotta also be thinking about how we can create real change from within ๐Ÿค. it's all about finding that balance between optimism and pessimism, you know? ๐Ÿ’ช

ICE is taking it too far ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’”... those deaths are unacceptable. We gotta stand up for our people & demand change ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒŽ... can't let them just keep enforcing laws that affect marginalized communities ๐Ÿค... needs to be more accountability & action on all sides ๐Ÿ‘Š

๐Ÿ˜ฑ can't believe how far things have gone with ICE, over 300 protests planned nationwide is just crazy, what's next? we need more people speaking out against these excessive force and detention abuses, it's like they think they're above the law or something. and what's up with the airport protests, targeting airlines involved in deportations, that's a whole new level of activism... ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’ฅ

omg u guys i'm so hyped about these anti-ICE protests this wknd ๐Ÿ˜ฒ 300+ events planned across the US is insane! i'm all about that layout life & structure ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’ป but even with my love for neatness, it's hard not to be moved by the demands of accountability & action. protesters r taking a stand against excessive force, detention abuses & militarization of immigration enforcement - it's time 2 hold our gov't accountable ๐Ÿ’ช. i hope ppl continue 2 show up & demand change ๐Ÿค

OMG, 300+ anti-ICE protests gonna hit all 50 states ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ’ฅ? That's so bold! I'm low-key hyped ๐Ÿ˜… about people standin' up for what they believe in & fightin' against the system that's oppressin' them. It's like, we gotta have a change in our country, you feel me? ๐Ÿ’– The fact that these protests are buildin' on the momentum from the Renee Good case is crazy ๐Ÿคฏ. We need more people to join in & make some noise ๐Ÿ”Š! Target, Home Depot, and other corps need to be held accountable for their ties with ICE ๐Ÿ‘Ž. I'm all about economic pressure & boycotts ๐Ÿ’ธ - if we show them we won't tolerate their practices, they'll have to listen ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ. This is all about people power, fam ๐Ÿ’ช! #JusticeForImmigrants #EndICE #ResistanceIsBeautiful

๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ I'm so hyped about these protests! ๐Ÿคฉ It's time for us to stand up against systemic injustice ๐Ÿ’ฅ ICE has been causing so much harm and suffering for too long, and it's amazing that people are finally finding their voice ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ. The fact that over 300 events are planned nationwide is a testament to the power of collective action ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ. We need more people to show up and demand change! ๐Ÿšจ It's time for our leaders to listen to us and take action against ICE's oppressive policies. โœŠ๏ธ I'm sending all my love and support to the organizers and protesters out there ๐Ÿ’•. Let's make some noise and create a brighter future for everyone ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŽ‰

I'm worried about the safety of those protesting against ICE this weekend ๐Ÿค•. I think it's awesome that people are standing up for what they believe in, but we gotta make sure everyone's getting home safely after the protests ๐Ÿ’ฅ. It's crazy to think over 300 events are planned nationwide - that's a lot of people making their voices heard! ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

I drew a simple diagram to represent the different ways protesters will be taking action this weekend:
```
+---------------+
| Vigils |
I hope the government takes these protests seriously and starts making changes soon ๐Ÿคž. We need more accountability and action on this issue! ๐Ÿ’ช
๐Ÿค I'm all about using my platform to shed light on important issues that need attention. This nationwide wave of protests against ICE is really something. It's been heartbreaking to hear about those recent deaths involving federal immigration agents, and it's clear that the system needs some serious changes.
I think what's most impressive here is how the organizers have come together, creating a sense of unity and purpose among their fellow activists. From vigils to airport protests, they're using every tool at their disposal to bring attention to the injustices faced by immigrants and communities of color.
It's also super inspiring to see people from all walks of life coming together in solidarity โ€“ folks who work at Target or Home Depot, who've been affected by ICE detention themselves, or simply those who care deeply about social justice. The fact that they're applying economic pressure, urging boycotts and refusing service to federal agents, shows that this movement is more than just a fleeting moment of outrage.
For me, the real question now is: what happens next? Will lawmakers take heed of these demands for accountability? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure โ€“ this momentum is going to be hard to stop. ๐ŸŒŸ
๐Ÿค I'm so concerned about the recent deaths involving federal immigration agents, it's just heartbreaking. The fact that there are 300+ protests happening nationwide is a testament to how much people care about this issue and want change. I'm all for protesting outside hotels and establishments that support ICE operations - every little bit counts! ๐Ÿ’ช We need to keep showing up and making our voices heard until we see real progress. It's not just about removing agents from communities, but also about the systemic issues that lead to these abuses in the first place. Let's keep the pressure on and hope for a better future for all Americans ๐ŸŒŸ
๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’” people should know whats going on with our country right now ICE is just one example of how system can get out of control ๐Ÿคฏ and make us suffer in silence ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. its not about the politics or parties involved its about human lives lost because of fear and hatred ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ. we need to stand up for each other and demand change โค๏ธ.
omg u gotta wonder what's gonna happen on saturday with all these protests ๐Ÿคฏ like how many ppl really show up to demand change? is it just a bunch of ppl marching around or are we actually making a difference? i feel bad for Renee Good's family, that was so tragic ๐Ÿ’”. and i'm curious about the hotels & companies being targeted, what happens if ppl boycott them? does it even work? ๐Ÿค‘ i also wanna know more about these corporations that support ICE, like Target & Home Depot, r they really that invested in the cause? ๐Ÿค”
man... these protests are getting more organized by the day ๐Ÿคฏ i mean, 300+ events across the country is crazy. it's like people are finally standing up for what they think is right, you know? all these stories about ice agents going rogue and killing people or detaining them without reason... that's just messed up.
i'm kinda worried about how this might escalate though. we don't want things to get out of hand or anyone to get hurt on either side. still, it's good to see so many ppl coming together for a common cause. and if they can make some real change happen out of all this... that'd be amazing. i just hope the politicians listen and do something about it ๐Ÿ‘Š
๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’ฅ I'm literally shook by how much the US has turned into a dystopian nightmare ๐ŸŒช๏ธ. I mean, who needs an enemy when we've got our own government, right? ๐Ÿ˜ฉ It's like they're playing this huge game of "us vs them" and we're all just pawns on the board ๐Ÿ’”. The fact that these people are getting killed by ICE agents and we're still just sitting here, tweeting about it ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ... I'm so done with the complacency ๐Ÿ˜’. We need to WAKE UP, people! ๐Ÿšจ This isn't a game anymore; lives are being lost left and right ๐Ÿ’€. We can't just sit back and let this happen; we gotta take action ๐Ÿ’ช. It's time for collective resistance, not just "oh, it's not my problem" ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ. The fact that these corporations are still in bed with ICE is just disgusting ๐Ÿšฝ. We need to boycott them all and make some noise ๐Ÿ’ฅ. I'm calling on everyone who's still got a conscience to join me this weekend ๐Ÿ‘‰ We can't let our voices be silenced; we gotta RISE UP! ๐Ÿ”ฅ
