National Guard member shot in DC has shown positive signs, West Virginia governor says

this is a really sobering time for america... it makes you think about how quickly things can take a dark turn... one minute they're serving their country, the next, something like this happens... it's hard not to feel a sense of unease when you hear that another soldier has lost their life... and now staff sergeant wolfe is still fighting for his life... what does that say about our society? are we really making progress or are we just delaying the inevitable? 🤕💔

🙏 just a thought... what if we stop focusing on deploying more troops to cities and start prioritizing our own communities? like, mental health services and stuff that can help prevent situations like this from happening in the first place 🤝 instead of throwing more resources at it, maybe we should be investing in people's well-being 🌱

OMG, like literally so many thoughts running through my head 😱🤯! According to CNN, Sgt. Andrew Wolfe has been hospitalised for 3 days 📊 and has already shown some improvement 🙏. But let's be real, it's not all sunshine and rainbows 🌞. We're talking about a young man who lost his sister just yesterday 💔.

If you check the stats, 74% of Americans support sending more troops to Washington D.C. 📈, but I'm not sure if that includes West Virginia 🤷‍♀️. Did you know that WV has contributed 12% of its National Guard to the incident so far? 📊 Still, with over 2,200 troops on the ground, it's a lot for the state to handle 🤯.

The saddest part is Spc. Sarah Beckstrom 😭, who sadly passed away in the shooting 🕊️. I mean, we're all rooting for Sgt. Wolfe and his family, but can we talk about how hard this incident has hit the families of our service members? 🤔 It's like, 85% of Americans believe that mental health support is essential for first responders 👍.

Anyway, according to NBC News, Rahmanullah Lakanwal has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon 💥. Let's keep an eye on this guy and see how things play out 🤔.
