Nato chief urges 'thoughtful diplomacy' after US treasury secretary's jibe at Denmark

The more I think about it , US and Europe are like two old friends who haven't really talked in ages . They used to be super close, but now they're just kinda... drifting apart . Trump's whole thing is all over the place , and Bessent's comments were just low-key shady . I mean, what even is Denmark supposed to do? Europe needs to stand up for themselves and not let US politicians walk all over them .

And what's with all this talk of "thoughtful diplomacy" ? Can't they just have a real conversation like normal people instead of being all passive-aggressive ? And then there's Gavin Newsom, throwing shade at Bessent... nice try, Gavin . I guess what it comes down to is: the more Trump tries to negotiate, the more Europe gets annoyed .

I'm curious to see how this all plays out . Will they be able to put aside their differences and work together? Or will we just get a whole bunch of drama and trade wars ?

Umm yeah so its like when someone says you're being too sensitive but actually youre just right to call them out for being condescending lol I mean come on, Denmark is not an irrelevance! Its like, they have that fancy Nordic vibe going on and who knows maybe its a hidden gem. But nope, the US Treasury Secretary is over here throwing shade and expecting everyone to just take it lying down. And poor Scott Bessent thinks he's some kinda diplomat expert? Meanwhile, Emmanuel Macron is trying to make a point about respect vs bullies but gets shot down by Trump's minion

Oh and Gavin Newsom is lowkey throwing shade at Bessent too, like, nice one Governor! But seriously though, this whole US-Europe spat is getting super messy. Can't they just have a calm conversation about trade and diplomacy without all the drama? I guess we'll just have to wait and see if Trump's "willingness" to work towards a solution actually leads anywhere
