New SJ DOCA Festival features holiday light displays inspired by local children's drawings

I'm all for this festival, but what if it's just a bunch of overpriced lights? 🤔 I mean, think about it, kids getting involved is awesome, but are they really in charge here or is it just parents looking for a cool Instagram pic with their mini-mes? 📸 And I love the idea of reconnecting with your inner child, but isn't that just code for people to go all out on the sugar and candy like we did back when I was younger? 🍬 It's also kinda weird that it's open to public after just 1 night. Like, what if they're expecting too many people? Shouldn't it have been tested a bit more first? 🤷‍♀️ On the other hand, it does sound like it could be super magical for families and stuff.

I gotta say, a light display created by local kids sounds like a blast 🎉! I love the idea of bringing art and imagination together with families. It's a great way to get people in the holiday spirit without breaking the bank or feeling too commercialized. But, I do wonder how they managed to make it all come together on time... 40 handmade attractions isn't easy to pull off in just a few weeks 🤯. Still, I'm excited to check out the DOCA Festival and see what all the fuss is about!

🎄 Omg I'm so down for that!! A light display designed by kids sounds like a total dream come true! 🤩 Who wouldn't wanna see giant characters and structures made by local youngsters? 🌟 It's so cool that they got to be a part of the design process. And I love how it's all about bringing families together through art and imagination 💕

I think it's super cool that local kids got to design some of the light displays 🎨🌟. I mean, who doesn't love a good dose of childhood magic? It's like they say, "imagination is the beginning of creation" - and this festival is proof of that 💡.

But, you know, it also makes me think about how we've lost some of that childlike wonder in our daily lives 🤔. Like, have we become too jaded to appreciate the simple things? It's all well and good that kids are being encouraged to express themselves creatively, but can we really make a difference by just doing something different every year?

Still, I'm excited to check it out with my family this holiday season ✨. Maybe it'll be just what we need to reconnect with each other and the world around us 🌎. Fingers crossed that it's not all just commercialized fun... 😉
