anyone else stocking up on hot chocolate and cozy sweaters? I feel bad for those homeless folks tho, hope they get some warm shelter 
! I mean, I get that it's not the first time we've seen some chilly temps in NYC, but still - it feels like every year they're telling us to "just bundle up" and pretend it's no big deal. Newsflash: when you live in a city as densely populated as New York, the cold can be pretty unforgiving. I'm all for taking precautions, but seriously, how many times do we need to tell people to cover their faces and hands before someone gets frostbite?! 
And what's with the heat and hot water issues? Can't they just get it together and make sure everyone has access to warm showers and decent living conditions?!

. I mean, sure, we should be prepared, but come on, it's not like we're living in Antarctica or something. And what's up with the heat warnings? A couple of degrees either way isn't gonna kill us... unless you're one of those people who freaks out over a temperature drop below 50°F 
i mean, can't we just have a warm and cozy week for once? nope, not on your life. seriously though, who thought it was a good idea to live in a place where you need to bundle up just to go outside during the day? like, isn't the idea of a city supposed to be, i don't know, warm and inviting or something?
