Nonprofit leader in Delco charged with misusing opioid settlement funds for sex trafficking

omg 😱 can you even believe this?! some dude who's supposed to be helping ppl struggling with addiction is out there exploiting them? it's like, what kinda sick game does he play where he takes advantage of people who are already down on their luck and offers 'em gifts and cash in exchange for sex?! 🤑👀 and the worst part is, he was using the opioid settlement funds to do this... like, what even is the point of that? just another way for him to get rich off the suffering of others. and now ppl are gonna have to deal with the fallout... bad news all around 😔

when nonprofts get caught using funds meant to help people instead use them to exploit them :/

can't trust anyone when they're taking advantage of others for personal gain

😱 this is just disgusting 🤢 arata's using opioid settlement funds to coerce women into sex trafficking is like a nightmare come true 💔 he's got a non profit all set up to help people struggling with addiction, but really he's just preying on them for his own sick desires 😒 and it's all because he thought he could get away with it 🤑 33 counts of trafficking in individuals? that's not enough if you ask me 🤯 the nonprofit sector needs a serious shakeup after this 👮‍♂️

🚨 just heard about Larry Arata, founder of Opioid Crisis Action Network (OCAN), being charged with using settlement funds to coerce sex trafficking victims... like what even is wrong with people? 🤯 he's a nonprofit leader who was supposed to be helping ppl struggling with addiction, but turns out he's been exploiting women instead... it's just so disturbing and sad that someone in power would use their position for selfish reasons. 💔 the fact that he allegedly used OCAN's recovery community center as a front to pressure women into sex is just appalling. this is why accountability is SO important, especially in nonprofit organizations that receive public funding 🚫

🚨😱 This is just insane! I mean, think about it, a guy who's supposed to be helping people struggling with addiction is actually using those same funds to exploit them? It's like, how far does greed take you? 🤯 I don't even know what to say, it's just... wrong. And the fact that he was able to get away with it for so long is just a reminder that we need better checks and balances in place to prevent this kind of thing from happening again. 💸 I'm just so disappointed in the nonprofit sector right now. It's supposed to be about helping people, not hurting them. 🤕
