'Nothing has changed': Minneapolis on edge despite Trump's de-escalation vow

I'm telling ya... it's all just a mess . Trump's words are as empty as ever. He says he wants de-escalation, but the reality is his people are still out there causing trouble. And what about Alex Pretti? Her life was lost over nothing. It's not like the cops didn't do enough to protect her... nope, they just waited for someone to make a move . And now Rep Omar gets attacked? Unbelievable! What's next? Alynia getting targeted too? I'm low-key convinced that Trump wants to stir up more drama so he can keep the narrative going: "I told you so". Meanwhile, Minnesota is stuck in this cycle of fear and distrust . It's just not looking good for anyone...

I cant even believe what's going on in MN rn Tensions are REAL but you'd think Trump would be all like "hey let's calm down" after his de-escalation vow meanwhile raids keep happening & ppl are still getting threats from ICE agents it's not just families, teachers too are feeling the pressure & they're taking steps to protect their students but honestly can't see how much Trump cares about ppl's lives when he's more worried bout being a villain his words are so toxic & now Representative Ilhan Omar got attacked at a town hall why can't politicians just get along?! the whole thing is just exhausting

This Trump admin's handling on immigration is straight outta horror movie . I mean, 37 yr old ICU nurse gets killed & yet, no one does anything? . They just claim they're de-escalating but in reality, it's like they're fueling the fire . Every time you think things are getting better, some new raid pops up or a rep from ICE is spotted in a school . It's messed up.

I'm so done with politicians using fear as a tool to control people . Ilhan Omar gets attacked at a town hall & Trump just labels her a "fraud" ? Give me a break! This isn't about politics, it's about human lives being threatened .

As a regular Joe, I just want my community to feel safe without the constant fear of ICE showing up at my doorstep . I'm not asking for much, just basic human rights & dignity . But with Trump in office, I'm starting to lose hope that things will ever change .

The fact that schools are expanding remote learning options because teachers are too scared to teach is just insane . This isn't how education should work! We need to stand together as a community & demand better from our leaders . Until then, the fear will continue to grip this city .

I'm so worried about the people living in Minneapolis right now . It's like they're walking on eggshells all the time, never knowing when immigration agents or police might show up. I mean, I get it that there are rules and laws to follow, but can't we just treat each other with kindness and respect?

It's heartbreaking to think about families who have been torn apart by these raids and deportations. Their kids are the ones who are really getting hurt, being forced to miss school or live in fear of their parents being taken away. That's not right .

And what's with the politicians just standing there like bystanders? Can't they do anything to stop this madness? It feels like Trump is just trying to stir up more trouble and watch as people get hurt.

I don't know how much more of this the city can take. It's like they're living in a war zone, with no one in charge or any hope for peace. I wish we could all just talk things through and find a way to live together in harmony, but it seems like that's not an option right now .
