Nvidia CEO denies he’s ‘unhappy’ with OpenAI

Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, has downplayed reports of discontent with OpenAI, citing the company's "huge" investment plans for the ChatGPT maker. The $100 billion investment announced in September has been shrouded in doubt, but Huang's comments suggest that Nvidia is committed to its partnership.

When asked if the deal would be worth over $100 billion, Huang dismissed the notion as "nonsense." However, when pressed on whether OpenAI was getting too big for Nvidia, he responded by expressing his admiration for CEO Sam Altman and the importance of his work. He stated that Nvidia plans to make a significant investment in OpenAI, with Altman closing the latest round of funding.

Huang's comments imply that the relationship between the two companies remains strong, despite recent speculation about the deal's fate. The CEO of one of the world's leading technology firms has reinforced his support for OpenAI and its ambitious goals, signaling a continued partnership between the two entities.

I think Nvidia is totally phoning it in with their investment plans for OpenAI... like, who really believes they're gonna put out that much cash? 😒 They should just be honest and say they're not sure what's going on instead of trying to spin this whole thing as some kind of love fest. And Jensen Huang's comments about Sam Altman being a genius just come across as super awkward... I mean, who uses the phrase "huge" to describe an investment plan? Sounds like something your grandpa would say at a dinner party. 🤣

I think it's super cool that Nvidia is all in on OpenAI 🤩💻! $100 billion might seem like a lot, but if it means making those chatbots even more awesome 💬, I'm down 👍. Sam Altman is definitely a genius 💡 and I love how Jensen Huang is giving him the nod of approval 🙏. It's not about whether OpenAI gets too big or not, it's about the tech and innovation happening 🚀! Nvidia's investment plans seem legit and I'm excited to see what they'll achieve together 💥🔓. Bring on the AI advancements 🤖 and let's get this tech party started 🎉!

idk why ppl r skeptical 'bout Nvidia & OpenAI's deal 🤔... like, $100 billion is a lotta cash 💸 but if it's gonna make a diff in the AI game, i'm all for it 🚀. Jensen Huang seems pretty confident about it too, and that's somethin' 🙏. i mean, it's not like he's just sayin' what ppl wanna hear, 'cause he's actually makin' a big investment 💸... so yeah, sounds good to me 👍

🤔 Nvidia's investment in OpenAI is definitely not nonsense... but $100 billion? 🤑 That's a lot of cash! I'm still on the fence about this deal, to be honest. On one hand, I think it's awesome that they're putting so much faith in ChatGPT and AI tech. 💻 It has the potential to revolutionize so many industries. But on the other hand, $100 billion is a huge ask... what if it doesn't pan out? 🤷‍♂️ I guess only time will tell. Sam Altman seems like an awesome CEO, btw. 🙌

so Nvidia's CEO is just gonna dismiss all those doubts about their investment in OpenAI like that? 😂 $100 billion is a crazy amount of money! I'm guessing they really believe in what Sam Altman is doing with ChatGPT and want to be a part of it. It's good to hear that Jensen Huang is still down to back his CEO, even when others are getting skeptical. Nvidia's gotta be thinking long-term here... maybe they see the potential for huge growth and want to get in on the ground floor? 💸

I'm still not convinced about this $100 billion investment... 🤔 Nvidia is putting all their chips on a language model that's still got some major kinks to work out. I mean, have you seen the issues with AI bias and accountability? It's like they're buying a pig in a poke 🐖. And what's the real plan here? Are we just going to see more of the same, AI hype with no substance? 😒 I need to see some concrete results before I get on board with this tech trend... 💸

🤔 I'm still confused about this whole thing... Nvidia is putting in a huge amount of money into OpenAI but it feels like they're trying to make sure everyone knows they invested $100 billion already? 😂 I mean, if Jensen Huang says it's "nonsense" when asked about the deal being worth that much, does he really think it's that easily dismissible? 🤷‍♂️ And at the same time, he's all about admiring Sam Altman and his work... is Nvidia just trying to make sure everyone knows they like OpenAI, even if they're not entirely sure what's going on? 🤑 It's kinda weird how Huang keeps saying they're committed to the partnership but we still don't know for sure if it's happening or not. Can someone explain it to me? 😅

🤔 "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance." 💪 The big players in tech are definitely not backing down from their investments, even when doubts arise. It's reassuring to see Nvidia standing by OpenAI despite the uncertainty surrounding the deal.

idk why people r saying Nvidia is pulling out of the openai deal 🤔. Jensen Huang just downplayed all those concerns and said they're still gonna invest big time 💸. He even went on to say he's a fan of Sam Altman and thinks his work is super important 👏. I mean, if someone as influential as him is backing OpenAI, it's not looking good for the whole "Nvidia's getting out" thing 🚫. Plus, that $100 billion investment they announced in September still seems like a solid plan to me 💯. Either way, one thing's for sure - Nvidia and OpenAI are still all about working together 💻.

I gotta say, 100 billion is a big number, lol. Nvidia really believes in what OpenAI is doing with ChatGPT 🤖. Jensen Huang seems like a straight shooter, no sugarcoating his words. It's good to see him showing support for Sam Altman and the whole OpenAI crew. If they can make that investment work out, it could be huge for both companies...and us consumers 📈
