omg can u believe they're putting all these cases on hold? its like, survivors are literally dying from gender violence and their lawyers gotta go through all this drama just to get them some kinda justice 
it makes me wanna scream why cant they just pass the bill already?!
i mean i get that they wanna make sure everything is perfect but come on ppl lives are at stake here! those 450 cases could've been reopened years ago if the city council just acted fast enough
and yeah, the $1 billion cost thing is a big deal but like, whats the alternative? having hundreds more victims suffer in silence? i dont think so
