NYPD sergeant convicted of manslaughter for killing man with a cooler in Bronx

just heard about this crazy case 🤯 nyc is like super strict about cops getting away with stuff but i guess someones gotta hold them accountable 💪 i mean we cant just forget about police brutality and think its all okay 🙅‍♂️ still feels weird tho when you see a cop get away with something like this...i guess thats the point of having a system in place though 🤔

OMG this verdict is like totally a huge step forward for accountability in policing!!! I'm so glad that Erik Duprey's family got some justice 🙏💯, it's not right what happened to him & his loved ones 😢. I think the prosecution did an amazing job proving that Duran used excessive force & put innocent lives at risk 💔. I wish he could've learned from this experience & grow as a person instead of resorting to violence 🤦‍♂️. Anyways, I'm super happy that BLM Greater New York is celebrating this win too 🎉! It's all about holding those in power accountable for their actions 💪.

this verdict better late than never lol 🤦‍♂️, its about time someone held those in power accountable for their actions. i mean can u imagine if it was ur cousin or ur neighbor who got killed like that and the cops just shrugged it off? 😱 15 years is a good start but i wanna see more reforms happen in the NYPD to prevent this from happening again. its not about punishing one officer, its about making sure those officers are held to a higher standard 🚔💪

omg this is like totally messed up 😱 what r u even doing with a cooler?? 🤯 how do u even see someone comin at u with their scooter and think its cool 2 throw a heavy object @ them?? i mean ur life 4 gotten if u can't make that split second decision 2 save urself & others but not kill some1 else in the process. i dont no wut ur defense is supposed 2 b but it dont sound 2 me like u were justified in any way. its always the ones who think they r above the law who end up gettin punished 🤷‍♂️
