. I mean, have you seen the prices of some of those pieces? It's like, okay, if I want to spend my entire life savings on a painting, that's fine, but what about everyone else who can't afford it? The fact that these fairs are "democratizing" the art market is just code for "we're making it more accessible to people with money". And what about all the emerging artists who get left out because they don't have connections or a big marketing budget? 
It's all about who you know, not what you create.
