I'm so stoked about Oneohtrix Point Never's new album Tranquilizer
! I mean, the way Daniel Lopatin uses those old sample CDs is like a trip down memory lane... in the most unsettling way possible
. The way it sounds all fragile and ephemeral is actually super captivating, you know? Like, it's got this sense of unease that just draws you in. And I love how it subverts expectations - one minute it's chill, next minute it's like "what the heck?"
I've been listening to it non-stop since it came out and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it... in a good way
. It's like a slow-burning fire that just gets more intense as you listen. And those tracks, oh man... "Bumpy" is like a wild ride
. I feel like I need to have a conversation with the album because it's just so thought-provoking. What do you guys think of Tranquilizer?
