OpenAI now sells extra Sora credits for $4, plans to reduce free gens in the future

idk why ppl are mad about this lol its like openai is just trying 2 make ends meet 🤑 they gotta pay for servers and devs somehow... 30 free gens per day is already pretty generous imo if u can afford it, cough up the cash otherwise don't @ me about ur "limited" use case tho maybe ppl should be more worried bout cameos & merch lol who gets to decide wether a character or pic is "worthy" of monetization? 🤑💸
 
Ugh 🤯 what's next? You want me to pay for breathing space on their Sora thing? I mean I get it, they need the cash but $4 for 10 extra gens? That's just nuts 🤑. Like how am I supposed to afford that? It's already gonna be super expensive with the daily limit dropping. And what about all the content creators who rely on those free gens? They're basically being nickel and dimed here... 💸

I'm really worried about how much this will affect creative kids 🤔. I mean, think about it - if they can't use Sora for free because their parents can't afford the extra gens, that's just not fair. It's like, OpenAI is basically saying that only people with deep pockets can be creative anymore 💸. What's wrong with having a platform where anyone can try out and see what they're good at? The idea of charging for "cameos" is also super weird - who gets to decide which characters or likenesses are worth paying for, anyway? 🤷‍♀️ It feels like OpenAI is trying to turn something that's supposed to be fun into a money-making machine 💸.

I'm all for innovation, but OpenAI needs to be more transparent about how their monetization strategy works. All this talk of "power users" and "rightsholders" is just code for "we're gonna screw over the regular folks if we have to" 😒. I hope they don't get caught up in some IP drama that ends up hurting users instead of helping them 🤦‍♂️. We'll just have to wait and see how this all plays out, I guess 👀
