Orville Peck Teases Forthcoming EP With Reflective Single 'Drift Away'

Orville Peck's latest offering, "Appaloosa", is set to arrive on November 14th, with a new single, "Drift Away," teasing its reflective and nostalgic tone. The song captures the post-pandemic era's small-town ennui as Orville croons about letting go of inhibitions, urging listeners to "drift away" with him.

The upcoming EP features seven tracks, including a collaboration with Noah Cyrus on "Atchafalaya", which marked their second joint effort following last year's "How Far Will We Take It?" The pair has proven themselves as musical complements, both individually and collectively.

Next month, Orville Peck will host his 7th Annual Rodeo in Pioneertown, California, with a star-studded lineup featuring Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Joy Oladokun, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Allison Russell, and more. The event will showcase Orville's unique blend of music, culminating in a headlining set on November 15th.

In recent months, Peck has released several tracks, including a collaboration with Kesha on "Tennessee", further solidifying his position as a rising force in country music. Following the release of his last album, "Stampede", which featured duets with Willie Nelson and others, Orville Peck continues to expand his musical horizons.

Following a Broadway debut in Cabaret, Peck has recently wrapped up filming on the 2026 film Street Fighter, where he will play masked assassin Vega. With his diverse projects, Orville Peck solidifies himself as an artist with a distinct voice and versatility.

I'm all about this new single "Drift Away" 🎸, it's like Orville Peck is speaking directly to my soul... I mean, who hasn't felt that post-pandemic longing for freedom and escape? The fact that he's collaborating with Noah Cyrus again is a total win, they're like two peas in a pod. And can we talk about how excited I am for his 7th Annual Rodeo in Pioneertown?! It's going to be lit! 🎟️ I love how Orville Peck is constantly pushing the boundaries of country music and exploring new sounds... he's like a modern-day outlaw, but instead of guns, he's got a guitar. And have you seen his Broadway debut? He absolutely killed it in Cabaret! πŸ’₯ Now, I'm hyped for this Street Fighter film role too - Vega is gonna be so cool! 😎

Man I'm so hyped for Orville Peck's new single "Drift Away" 🎢πŸ”₯ it sounds like the perfect vibe for this post-pandemic era where we're all just trying to find our way again, you know? And I love that he's collaborating with Noah Cyrus on "Atchafalaya", their chemistry is undeniable πŸ’•. The fact that he's hosting his 7th Annual Rodeo in Pioneertown, California next month is going to be lit πŸ€ πŸŽ‰. It's crazy how Orville Peck has been killing the game with his music and acting gigs - from country to Broadway, what a talent! 😎

I'm not sure if I love this new single from Orville Peck or hate it... like, for real πŸ€”... I mean, the song "Drift Away" sounds super nostalgic and reflective, but at the same time, it's kinda generic and forgettable? 🎢 I think he's trying to tap into that post-pandemic small-town vibe, but is it too on-the-nose? πŸ™„

And don't even get me started on his collaborations... Noah Cyrus is a great artist, but do they really sound like complementary forces or just kinda tagging along with each other? 🀝 I mean, I love "How Far Will We Take It?" as much as the next person, but this new track doesn't quite live up to the hype for me... maybe it's just me πŸ˜’.

But hey, Orville Peck is definitely an artist on the rise, and his 7th Annual Rodeo in Pioneertown, CA is gonna be epic! πŸŽΈπŸ‘ And who knows, maybe "Appaloosa" will grow on me... or maybe I'll just hate it πŸ˜‚... either way, can't wait to see what he does next!

Man I'm so hyped for Orville Peck's new single "Drift Away" it sounds like the perfect vibe for this post-pandemic world we're living in πŸŒ…. And a collab with Noah Cyrus on "Atchafalaya" is gonna be awesome, they've already shown us what they can do together last year was so lit πŸ’₯. But I'm also stoked he's hosting his 7th Annual Rodeo next month, that lineup sounds insane 🀯! Orville's just been killing it lately with all the new music and acting gigs, he's got a real unique voice and style going on...I love how he's not afraid to try new things πŸ’ͺ. And that Street Fighter gig? He's gonna bring Vega to life for real πŸ”₯

Ugh, another celebrity just announcing their next move 🀯. I mean, don't get me wrong, Orville Peck is actually quite talented, but can we please have a platform that lets us listen to his music without all the extraneous info? 🎡 It's like they're trying to sell us on the artist's persona instead of just giving us good tunes.

And what's with all these collaborations? I get it, they're trying to build some kind of community or whatever, but it feels like they're more focused on the "artist vs. artist" thing than actually putting out quality music. Like, can't we just have a simple single release without having to know about the entire EP? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

And then there's this whole rodeo thing 🀠... I mean, I guess it's cool that he's trying to engage with his fans and all, but do we really need to know every single detail about his personal life? Can't we just enjoy the music? 🎢

Man... I'm gettin' chills thinkin' about this new single "Drift Away" 🎢😌. It's like Orville Peck is takin' us all on a trip down memory lane, you know? The pandemic was such a weird time, and it's dope to see him tap into that post-pandemic vibe in his music. I mean, who doesn't wanna just "drift away" from the world for a bit, right? πŸŒŠπŸ’¨ And collaborating with Noah Cyrus on that new track "Atchafalaya"? Genius move! They're like two peas in a pod, musically speakin'. Anyway, can't wait to see Orville Peck live at his rodeo event in Pioneertown next month... it's gonna be a real hoot! 🀠🎸

I'm tellin' ya, this Orville Peck dude is killin' it right now πŸ’₯! I mean, have you heard "Drift Away"? It's like, the perfect song for when you're feelin' stuck in small-town life 🀠. And him teaming up with Noah Cyrus again on "Atchafalaya" is just magic ✨. But what really gets me is how Orville's always pushin' himself to try new things - Broadway, film roles, collaborations... the dude's got talent pourin' outta every pore 🌟. I'm so stoked for his 7th Annual Rodeo in Pioneertown, gonna be a wild ride! And have you seen him with Willie Nelson on "Stampede"? That duet is FIRE πŸ”₯. Anyway, can't wait to see what he does next...
