Pacific Moisture Drenches the U.S. Northwest

Man, can you believe all that rain in the US Northwest? 🌂 I'm still shaking my head thinking about how bad it was in Seattle. Back in my day, we used to get some rain here and there, but this is crazy! 10 inches in just 72 hours? That's like something out of a movie. And the roads, oh man... I-90 was closed for days, that's no joke.

You know, as an oldie, I remember when weather forecasting was still kinda new and all we had were those analog maps at the TV stations. Now, with NASA and their fancy systems, they can track all this moisture from thousands of miles away? It's like science fiction, man! 🤯

But for real, though, it's a good thing they're working together to figure out what's going on and how to prepare for these events. We need to know how to handle our weather patterns, you know? I mean, who needs that much rain in one place?! It's like the whole region just got flooded with... well, water! 😂

omg, just what we needed another excuse to stay home and binge-watch netflix 🤦‍♀️ heavy rainfall and flooding in the US Northwest... because who doesn't love a good excuse to cancel plans? 🤷‍♂️ at least the Philippines is getting some much-needed rain ☁️ and NASA's GEOS system is like the superhero of weather tracking 🕸️. but seriously, 10 inches of rain in just 72 hours? that's like trying to drink a whole cup of coffee in one go... not fun for anyone 🤯. and I'm sure those road closures are just peachy 🚧🙄

🌂️ just saw that US Northwest got hit with crazy flooding from Pacific moisture... 10 inches in 72 hours is wild 🤯. NASA's been tracking atmospheric rivers, which makes sense since they're like super-long rivers of air carrying water vapor 🌊. The Philippines was the source of this moisture, who knew? 😮. I'm glad they have a team working on it, providing maps and data to help with the response. We should really be paying attention to these atmospheric rivers, they can bring some crazy weather ☁️.

😩 I'm still trying to wrap my head around this... 10 inches in just 72 hours?! That's insane! I was stuck in Seattle for Christmas and I thought I got off easy, but now I feel bad for those who had to deal with that. And the Skagit and Snohomish rivers... can you even imagine? 🤯 My friend's house is near there and she told me about how her backyard flooded and her car was washed away! The roads are still closed and it's just so sad. We need better emergency preparedness systems in place, pronto! 💪

Just saw that NASA did a sick job tracking that Pacific flood... lol what even is an atmospheric river tho? Never heard of such thing before 🌪️ 10 inches in 72 hours is wild, imagine driving down I-90 with floodwaters everywhere 😱 Skagit and Snohomish rivers went crazy too... all this rain just shows how unpredictable the weather can be these days 💦 At least NASA's got our backs tho, tracking those rivers like their lives depend on it 🙏

I'm so worried about those people in the US Northwest! 🤕 The flooding is crazy! I mean, 10 inches of rain in just 72 hours? That's insane! 😲 And to think it came from all the way in the Philippines... whoa, that's a long way for weather to come from. 🌴 I'm glad NASA was able to track it down with their GEOS system though. It's like they have superheroes watching over us from space! 👽

I do wish people would take these kinds of events more seriously and be prepared for the worst-case scenario, you know? Like, have a plan in place in case of flooding or landslides... just saying. 😊 And I hope everyone who was affected gets back on their feet soon.

It's crazy to think that something like this could happen so far inland, but I guess that's what happens when the weather is really weird. 🌪️ Still, it's good to know that there are people working hard behind the scenes to help with disaster response and stuff. 💕
