This Africa Cup Nations final has been wild! I'm still trying to process what happened. Pape Thiaw's reaction was super harsh, even though I get why he was upset. It's just that there are better ways to deal with a tough situation like that. And now both teams have some serious penalties to pay - Senegal loses $200k+ and Morocco loses almost as much! But what really got me is how the fans reacted after Morocco scored... it was crazy! I'm surprised more people didn't get hurt. It's like, you can be upset about a loss, but do you have to take it out on others?
just watched that africa cup final and i'm still shaking my head pape thiaw's reaction was wild tho like what was he even thinking? it's all so frustrating when players let their emotions get the best of them in big games the fafs (or whatever its called) need to crack down on that kind of behaviour, trust me ️
come on , this is getting outta hand... $100k fine for Pape Thiaw? that's steep. i mean, i get it, the ref made a mistake and thiaw reacted, but 5 matches ban? that's harsh. and what about the fans who got into a fight with security? should they be punished too? how do we know there wasn't some outside influence at play here?
and have you seen the amount of fines Caf is doling out? $600k to Senegal's FSF for "breaches"?? what does that even mean? didn't they follow the rules or something? and morocco gets off scot-free with just a $100k slap on the wrist... seems like selective justice if you ask me
I think Caf is being super harsh on Senegal's manager. Five matches is a pretty heavy ban, especially considering they won the game 1-0 in the end! Maybe it was a heat of the moment thing, but come on, five games? It just seems like a lot. And what's with all these other teams getting banned too? Morocco's fans got a little rowdy, I get it, but four-game ban for Rafik Belghali? That's a bit extreme if you ask me
man... this whole thing is like a cautionary tale about how one bad move can snowball into chaos . pape thiaw's reaction to that penalty was completely out of line - it's like he thought he could just take over the game & bully everyone into submission . newsflash, dude: sports ain't about being aggressive or intimidating; it's about respect & class.
it's also crazy how many people got banned in this whole debacle . you'd think that with all the drama & commotion, someone would've been able to keep a level head & just play the game... but nope! it seems like everyone was too caught up in their own egos & agendas .
anyway, what I'm tryin' to say is: sportsmanship matters, folks! we're all human beings, not animals. we gotta learn to control our emotions & treat others with respect, even when things get heated
