idk why ppl think cellphones r necessary in school I mean, most kids got them at home anyway so they can just chill on the bus or after class but seriously, distractions r a huge problem and mental health is super important too . it's dope to see most parents in mass think this way tho 75% of asians and pacific islanders r supporting it which is cool because they r a big part of the community and ed trust is all for it which is good more education and less distractions = better future
Honestly, I'm kinda surprised by the level of support for banning school cellphones and smartwatches in MA. Like, isn't it just a matter of keeping an eye on your kid instead of getting rid of their device entirely? I mean, what's next, banning all forms of technology?! It's not like they're gonna be glued to their screens during class, but you never know... Anyway, 75% of Asian American parents supporting the ban is pretty cool, though. Guess that demographic just gets it more than others?
I gotta wonder why we're so reliant on these tiny screens anyway ? Like, what's the harm in just leaving our kids be for a few hours a day? I mean, I get it, they can be super distracting and affect their mental health, but do we really need to take away all freedom of choice? It's like, we're basically raising mini-adults here . And what about the whole "educational value" thing? Can't we find ways to make learning more engaging without resorting to tech? I guess it's just one of those things where we have to weigh pros and cons... but sometimes I feel like we're overthinking this whole "tech in schools" thing .
I'm low-key excited about the fact that most MA parents are down to ditch those school cellphones & smartwatches ! Like, 66% of them think it'll be a good idea? That's a major win for getting kids focused on learnin' stuff . And I'm all about those mental health benefits too . It's like, we wanna make sure our kids are growin' up in a world where they can put down their screens and just chill, you know? The fact that it's got such strong support from different groups is super heartening . Let's hope the law makers listen to the parents and pass this bill!
I think its a great idea to ban cellphones and smartwatches in schools! The results of the poll are amazing 66% of parents are on board, which is so cool ! I mean, who needs distractions when you can focus on learning ? My little sibling would definitely be more productive too . It's awesome that Asian American and Pacific Islander parents are showing the most support too ! And btw, 88% of parents have smartphones, so it's about time we take action !
I mean, can you blame them tho? Schools are supposed to be a place for learning and growing, not for scrolling through social media . It makes sense that most parents want to protect their kids from distractions. But at the same time, isn't it kinda old-fashioned to just ban everything all together? What about emergencies or parental messages needing attention? Like, what's gonna happen when a kid's mom needs to reach them for something urgent? Still, I get why most parents are on board with this. Mental health and focus is super important, especially for kids . Maybe we should just implement some kind of smart balance? Like, allow devices during breaks or after school?
