People in the US: how are your holiday shopping plans being affected by Trump's tariffs and the cost of living?

OMG 🤯 I'm literally worried about my fave aunt who just lost her job last month and now she's stressing about buying Christmas gifts for her kids 😩. It's so unfair that tariffs are affecting everyday people like this! If Trump is thinking about giving everyone $2k, it sounds like a nice gesture but we gotta think about how it'll actually work 🤔. What if they just take the money from someone else? 💸 We need to be careful here! Anyway, I'm trying to stay positive and focus on finding cheaper alternatives for gifts 🎁👍

And what about those 50-year mortgages? No thanks 🙅‍♂️ I don't think anyone wants to be saddled with a mortgage for half a century. That's just cruel. And lowered tariffs might give some people a temporary reprieve but it's not like they're going to get back on their feet overnight.

I'm also kinda worried about what this means for the economy as a whole. We already have inflation and economic uncertainty, now we're being told that the solution is more of the same? It just doesn't add up 🤔
